On Monday, October 26, the Theater People podcast welcomes Tony winner Lena Hall. Hall, who won her Tony Award for her gender bending performance as Yitzhak in the 2014 Broadway production of HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH, shares stories of her ten-plus career as a working actor and musician in New York City.

A veteran of four previous Broadway musicals, this is his first time originating a role on Broadway.

With Leung's packed fall schedule in full swing, BroadwayWorld recently caught up with him, where he opened up about the journey of producing an album, working alongside Takei and Salonga in ALLEGIANCE, and much more.

Telly Leung, star of this season's new Broadway musical ALLEGIANCE opposite George Takei and Lea Salonga, will release a new album via Yellow Sound Label. SONGS FOR YOU will be released on Friday, November 20, with the lead single 'New York State of Mind' available today, October 23.

THE MEETING* hosted by Justin Sayre, the acclaimed comedy/variety show, will return to JOE'S PUB at The Public Theater on Sunday, October 25 at 9:30 PM to continue the Fall 2015 Season. The October 2015 show will feature a celebration of the cult film PRACTICAL MAGIC for Halloween, with special guests Bridget Barkan, Isaac Oliver, Angela DiCarlo, Salty Brine, Carol Lipnik and Marc Dommu. Tracy Stark serves as the show's Music Director.

Allegiance stars Tony and Olivier Award winner Lea Salonga (Miss Saigon, Les Miserables) in her long-awaited return to Broadway, and later this month, fans will get a chance to get up close and personal with the superstar.  The October 31 matinee performance of Allegiance is Pinoy Day! 'Pinoy' is an informal demonym referring to the Filipino people in the Philippines and overseas Filipinos around the world. Salonga, the first Filipina Tony Award-winner, will host a post-show talkback, so have your questions ready!

The cast of the new musical  ALLEGIANCE were visited by a trio of young Broadway stars at the Sunday matinee performance at the Longacre Theatre.  Tony nominee Sydney Lucas who was one of the stars of 'Fun Home' joined her brother, Jake Lucas who is in 'The King & I' along with current 'Fun Home' co-star Oscar Wiliams for the performance. Weeks before the deadline for Overseas Voting (OV) registration on 31 October, Philippine-born Broadway actress Lea Salonga filed yesterday her OV application at the Philippine Consulate General New York on Fifth Avenue. Salonga is in the city for the Broadway production of the new American musical ALLEGIANCE, where she plays a lead role.

KIM DAVID SMITH -- the Australian stage performer -- conjures the glitter and doom of Weimar-era Berlin with STARGAZING, a genre-mashing, electro-cabaret fantasia, premiering at Joe's Pub at The Public Theater (425 Lafayette Street, New York), tonight, October 8 at 9:30 PM.

The Meeting* hosted by Justin Sayre, the acclaimed comedy/variety show, will return  to OASIS (298 Eleventh Street, San Francisco CA) on Saturday, December 12 at 7:00 PM after two packed shows earlier this year. The Meeting* has been called "delicious and delightfully droll" by The New York Post and "hilarious and sardonic" by The Village Voice. A story for Slate.com called the evening "so deliciously icy that it left me shivering with fear and delight." The New York run of The Meeting* - currently running monthly at Joe's Pub at The Public Theater - has been sold out since the New York Times "Arts & Leisure" piece ran last September. Special musical guests for the Oasis performance will be announced. Tickets are $20 and are available at SFOasis.com.
