The '106.7 Lite fm Presents Broadway in Bryant Park 2008' series officially kicks off with the casts of Chicago, Monty Python's Spamalot, [Title of Show], Russian on the Side & Stomp performing on Thursday July 10th, 12:30 pm at Bryant Park Lawn.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (Isaac Robert Hurwitz, Executive Director and Producer) announces a special membership offer to this year's 5th annual Festival in honor of the original musical [title of show] as it makes its Broadway debut, previewing July 5 and opening July 17 at the Lyceum Theatre (149 W. 45 St.) The first 50 Platinum Memberships sold to the 2008 NYMF will guarantee a pair of tickets to [title of show] to select performances from July 6 through July 27 at the Lyceum.

May 18th 2008 the winners of this years Drama Desk Awards were announced. The 53rd Annual Drama Desk Awards were held in the LaGuardia Concert Hall at Lincoln Center.

On April 28th the Second Annual Broadway Beauty Pageant (formerly titled Mr. Broadway) was held at New World Stages. The winner was Marty Thomas (Mr. Xanadu).

The cast of [title of show], the original musical that will open on Broadway at the Lyceum Theatre in July, will host the 53rd Annual Drama Desk Awards on Sunday, May 18, at 9:00 PM, it was announced by Robert R. Blume, Executive Producer of the awards ceremony, and William Wolf, President of the Drama Desk.

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) will host Broadway Karaoke on Monday, May 5th at Arena (135 West 41st Street). Come see some of Broadway's hottest performers - uncensored and unrehearsed like you've never seen them before! The evening begins with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres in Midtown's hottest nightclub, Arena. Next Seth Rudetsky hosts incredible off-the-cuff performances by some of the brightest stars on Broadway! Finally, the audience can get into the act with an hour of open mic karaoke! All proceeds will go to the Education Programs of Roundabout Theatre Company, one of the country's top not-for-profit theatres. The Actors Fund presented the one and only Seth Rudetsky in Seth's Broadway 101 on April 14 at New World Stages in New York.
