New Jersey’s George Street Playhouse will welcome audiences back again this season to enjoy three exciting and thought-provoking plays, and two dazzling musical theatre events at the New Brunswick Performing Arts Center.

Staging Shakespeare's Violence is the first book of its kind to provide an in-depth examination of how the greatest playwright in the English language employed not only psychological brutality but also physical violence throughout his works.

The 24 Hour Plays: Viral Monologues will return on Tuesday, October 5th, with an all new series of unforgettable performances. Eighteen actors have been paired with writers who have crafted unique pieces especially for them. From 6 PM until 10 PM, new monologues will be published every 15 minutes.  

The fundraiser raised over $452,000 to date --- making this a record breaking event as the highest-grossing gala in the history of George Street Playhouse.  

The event will feature performances by an incredible STAR-STUDDED ROSTER of Friends of George Street Playhouse; will allow guests to mingle via webcam and chat; and represents the latest in George Street’s forays into unique digital programming, highlighted by an ongoing streaming season for 2021.
