In Noises Off, we join the cast of the fictional play “Nothing On” for a hysterical peek behind the curtain. In only hours they’ll be faced with opening night. Will they be able to pull things together? If they do, will they manage to keep them together for the run of their play, or will the flubbed lines, falling trousers and flying sardines keep the show from going on?

What did our critic think of DON'T VOTE FOR ME at Scrips2Stage2Screen?

The Detroit Repertory Theatre is closing out its 65th season with the Michigan Professional Premiere of Fairview by Jackie Sibblies Drury - a ground-breaking, radical, Pulitzer prize-winning comedy. Opening night is June 3rd, 2022, and it runs until July 31st, 2022. Opening nights at the Detroit Repertory Theatre are always a celebration as guests are invited to stay after the play and join in a complimentary champagne toast to a new production on the Rep stage.

 “This is a romance for all ages and orientations,” said Steve Fisher, Script2Stage2Screen’s artistic director.  “Set in Italy, it’s a sensual and sweet love story. Hal O’Connell, a member of Script2Stage2Screen’s executive committee and active in numerous Valley theaters, will be directing.”

Six strangers, all with aliases – Colonel Mustard, Mrs. White, Mrs. Peacock, Mr. Green, Professor Plum and Miss Scarlet – gather for a mysterious dinner party at a remote mansion. When their host winds up dead, they race to find the killer.

One of southeast Michigan's favorite holiday traditions returns for the 38th year when Ebenezer Scrooge, Tiny Tim and a handful of ghosts raise your spirits in A Christmas Carol at Meadow Brook Theatre this November and December.

Indio's Desert Theatreworks has scored another bullseye with their current production of Neil Simon's Brighton Beach Memoirs. Simon's semi-autobiographical memory piece about his early teenage years in a crowded Brooklyn tenement is delivered in a finely-nuanced performance by a dream cast in the capable hands of director Rebecca Havely. As a result, the tale of a young teen's personal growth and exploration, set against a house full of family conflict and financial strife, takes the audience on a ride which they all seemed to greatly enjoy on the evening I viewed the show.

Indio's Desert Theatreworks continues their strong 2018/19 season with a stylish production of Agatha Christie's MURDER ON THE NILE. Smartly dressed characters with distinct, larger-than-life personalities, come together in the early 1940's onboard an Egyptian riverboat. One of them gets shot through the head, and the remainder of the show deals with the characters figuring out whodunnit.

Margaret Edwartowski has been told her whole life that she looks like the late pop singer Cass Elliot, or, perhaps best known onstage, as "Mama Cass" of the Mamas and the Papas. "People would always come up to me and say, 'You know who you remind me of…" Edwartowski says. "Once I learned about her and started reading about her, I tried to emulate her. She was smart, resilient and very talented."
