Deva Fest 2022 is promising to be the most spectacular and entertaining family festival in the region when it returns this summer, with a host of new attractions just announced.

What links Boy George, botflies, black holes and basking sharks? No, this isn’t a question from Only Connect, it’s a snapshot of the line-up for this year’s Christmas Compendium show hosted by Professor Brian Cox and Robin Ince. This is a variety show like no other, combining pop sensibilities with physics until you start to question the very nature of reality – in a good way.

Deva Fest returns to Chester Lakes next summer with an unmissable line-up of fantastic festival events and faces – and now with a host of exciting new additions.

The Duchess of Canvey, acclaimed 80s superstar songstress Diane Chorley, is opening her legendary nightclub The Flick inside new cultural destination Woolwich Works for a Spookalicious Hallowe’en show!

The star studded film, stars the breakout discovery Max Harwood as Jamie New, alongside Sarah Lancashire, Lauren Patel, Shobna Gulati, Ralph Ineson, Adeel Akhtar, Samuel Bottomley, with Sharon Horgan and Richard E. Grant.

Having quickly established itself as one of the most loved boutique family festivals in the country, The Cambridge Club is gearing up to ensure this year's festival is one to remember – by scaling the event to a full weekend and expanding the arts and entertainment on offer.

After paving the way for physically distanced events in 2020, The Clapham Grand is excited to open its doors for the first time in 2021 with an eclectic mix of in-person comedy, drag, variety and live music events from 18th May 2021, and from 21st June 2021 is hoping to present shows at full capacity.

The Duchess of Canvey herself, Diane Chorley is inviting you to the grand reopening of her iconic 80s haunt, The Flick on the 1st August 2019 at 11pm. It has been rebuilt brick by brick by both the Assembly team and production company Berk's Nest especially for Diane's eagerly anticipated return to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2019. This iconic, 80s haunt, planted in the heart of Edinburgh, will serve as a purpose built, immersive venue throughout the festival, for both Diane's daily show Modern Love, which runs from 1st to 25th August at 20:00, and her late night weekend show Down The Flick which runs 2nd a?" 25th August at 23:00.

Tonight, Moulin Rouge officially opens on Broadway at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, but that wouldn't be possible without the 2001 Baz Luhrmann film that took audiences by storm. Moulin Rouge was a jukebox musical romantic drama film that was the third and final installment of Red Curtain Trilogy, Luhrmann's film concept that included Strictly Ballroom and Romeo + Juliet.

Fronted by female vocalist Liz Lenten, who's voice has been described as “so sweet it'll make your hair curl” and “husky, with an emotional frailty,” who “isn't afraid to show her full range of vocal tones or emotions.”
