The National Society of Arts and Letters of Florida (NSAL) bestowed internationally renowned artist Yaacov Heller with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the recent NSAL’s Star Maker Awards Gala at Royal Palm Yacht and Country Club in Boca Raton.

To Life 4, That's Jewish Entertainment! Stories & Music Celebrating Some of the Greatest Jewish Entertainers the popular series developed by producer Hy Juter   will run from January 19th through February 4th at The Willow Theatre in Boca Raton's Sugar Sand Park.

National Society of Arts and Letters (NSAL) of Florida, based in Boca Raton, recently announced their 2023 scholarships and competitions.

George Gershwin.  Irving Berlin. Johnny Mercer. Harold Arlen. Sheldon Harnick.  Jerry Herman. These composers and many more will be highlighted in To Life 3: Stories & Music Celebrating the Contributions of Jewish Composers to the Great Hollywood Musicals. 

The Wick Theatre and Costume Museum was “Alive with the Sound of Music!” A dazzling event recently hosted by the National Society of Arts & Letters of Florida and raising over $47,000 to support the Boca Raton-based nonprofit's mission of supporting local emerging performing and visual artists.

The National Society of Arts & Letters Florida has announced their 4th Annual Star Maker Awards will be held at The Wick Theatre and Costume Museum in Boca Raton on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at 6:30 pm.  

The National Society of Arts & Letters of Florida recently celebrated 40 years of supporting the dreams of young local artists through scholarships and competitions with a dazzling event at The Wick Theatre in Boca Raton.

The National Society of Arts & Letters Florida East Coast Chapter recently held their ballet competition at Boca Ballet Theatre. The competition showcased the talents of an array of young dancers from South Florida, who were judged by an esteemed panel including Clarence Brooks, Shimon Ito and Colleen Smith.

The B'nai Torah Cultural Arts Series 2020 theatrical presentation, The Interview will be presented for one performance only on February 26th at 7:30 pm in the Eleanor and Paul Weiner Cultural Center at B'nai Torah Congregation. 

The National Society of Arts and Letters Florida East Coast Chapter recently unveiled their new website (www.nsalfloridaeast.org) featuring the 2020 competition and scholarship applications. This year's key National competition is in musical theatre and local applicants can apply now for a chance to win $2,000 plus an all-expense paid trip to Chicago to compete for a $15,000 first prize. Additionally, applications are now open for a Piano and Strings Duo competition along with the Naomi Rabb Winston 2-D Art Scholarship and the Shirley Rabb Winston Classical Voice scholarship. All criteria, rules and application deadlines are on the website.

Empire Stage will present a limited 13 performance run of Clemenza & Tessio Are Dead by Gregg Greenberg from August 15 a?' September 8. The play - a clever and humorous parody of the classic 1972 movie a?oeThe Godfathera?? (based on the novel by Mario Puzo), was originally produced as part of the 2009 New York City Fringe Festival.

Hadar Galron's powerful play, Mikveh, offers a glimpse into the secretive world of the Jewish ritual bath. The intimate stories of seven women unfold in this revealing story of religious observance and evolving feminist consciousness. With humor, sincerity and tragedy, this provocative play explores the evolving position of women in this religious society. Nominated for six Israeli National theatre awards and winning two, including Play of the Year for 2005, Mikveh will be performed at 2 pm and 7:30 pm at Boca Raton's B'nai Torah Congregation on February 20th, 2019 in the Weiner Auditorium.
