The Central Works Celebratory 30th Season continues with Queen Mair by Matthew Wells, a new play inspired by King Lear running May 9a?"Jun 7 at the historic Berkeley City Club. But there are other farewells to be taken, and painful secrets that must be revealed, before young Cordelia will be on her way.

The Electric Mess Share Dystopian Punk Single 'City Sun'

Garage-punk band The Electric Mess share a new single 'City Sun' today! Self-described as a dystopian proto-punk ripper, its timing is darkly appropriate, although unintended, with NYC, and the world, coming to a grinding halt over the COVID-19 virus. Ghost Cult Magazine premiered the track, hailing it as an 'uplifting, triumph of weirdos cutting through the gray of these times.' 'City Sun' comes ahead of The Electric Mess' fifth album The Electric Mess V, due out April 17th.

BWW Review: THE SEVEN STREAMS OF THE RIVER OTA, National Theatre

A seven-hour piece of marathon theatre may not be everyone's cup of tea. But the demanding length of The Seven Streams of the River Ota brings with it such a dazzling array of perks that it's nearly impossible to resist the challenge of sitting through it. First performed in 1996, Robert Lepage's epic mosaic about the variegated aftermath of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima has long attained the position of a masterwork in the acclaimed Canadian auteur's oeuvre. The revival at the National Theatre reminds us with force and verve why this remains the case.

Liam Gallagher's 'MTV Unplugged' Live Album Out April 24

Liam Gallagher has announced his first MTV Unplugged live album, due out on April 24 via Warner Records. Having missed Oasis's 1996 session due to illness, the performance at Hull's City Hall found Liam fulfilling some unfinished business, following in the footsteps of all-time greats (Paul McCartney, Nirvana and many more) who have filmed a prestigious MTV Unplugged session. The forthcoming record is launched with lead track “Gone,” which debuts today – listen below!

Ballard Institute and Museum of Puppetry Cancels Events Through April 6 Due to COVID-19

The Ballard Institute and Museum of Puppetry will be closed and all performances, forums, space rentals, workshops, and tours will be cancelled from March 14 through April 6, 2020 in an effort to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19. While we regret having to make this change, the health and safety of our community and patrons are of utmost importance to us as the risk of contracting the virus increases daily. The decision was informed by working continually with the Connecticut Department of Public Health, the state Department of Emergency Management and Homeland Security, the Office of the Governor, and the Eastern Highlands Health district.

BWW Review: Drayton Entertainment's A FEW GOOD MEN is Captivating Audiences at the St. Jacob's Country Playhouse

Drayton Entertainment's St. Jacob's Country Playhouse has kicked off their 2020 season with a memorable production of Aaron Sorkin's A FEW GOOD MEN. Despite its critical acclaim, this play is likely less familiar to most theatregoers than the classic movie it inspired. This provides an extra challenge to the company to inhabit roles made famous by the likes of Jack Nicholson, Tom Cruise and Demi Moore, and to make the characters their own. It takes no time at all to be fully confident that director Marti Maraden has assembled a company that has done just that.

Grant Gustin Joins OPERATION BLUE EYES
