The WYO Theater Performing Arts & Education Center has announced auditions for the Young Theatre Makers Ensemble, a program of WYO PLAY. WYO PLAY, launched in September 2020, is a series of extracurricular arts education programs that create safe and engaging environments for life-long learners to explore the theater arts.   

La MaMa has announced programming for March 2021. March will feature special events including Pulp by Alexis Myre and James Lepkowski at La MaMa Galleria, International Woman’s Day with Marisa Buffone, SPOILED: The Film Project by The Hess Collective, Experiments: Three Ring Circus by Sean Patrick Higgins and directed by Ted Schneider, and more.

The 2019 theatrical season has afforded me the opportunity to see several fantastic plays and musicals, unfortunately, Ken Ludwig's SHERWOOD THE ADVENTURES OF ROBIN HOOD does not rank among them. Yes, if you like slapstick, old jokes, and sword fights then it does provide a nice evening of entertainment and several moments of raucous humor. SHERWOOD THE ADVENTURES OF ROBIN HOOD, starring Hal Linden, at the New Theatre Restaurant runs through February 2, 2020.

You only have two more chances to see Rebel and Misfits' Macbeth: Come Like Shadows, directed by Sean Patrick Higgins and Kelly Hummert, and even in a city of generous theatre offerings, you will probably not have the opportunity to see anything else quite like this. Glynis Henderson Productions and Martian Entertainment have announced that A CLOCKWORK ORANGE will play the final performance of its limited New York Premiere engagement at New World Stages on Saturday, December 2, 2017. Based on Anthony Burgess'1962 literary masterpiece, director Alexandra Spencer-Jones's electrifying stage production began performances in NYC on September 2, 2017, following a sold-out engagement at London's Park Theatre and tours to Australia, Singapore and Norway. At the conclusion of its twelve-week New York run, the play will have had 107 performances at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street).
