The Actors Fund Changes Identity to the Entertainment Community Fund

The Actors Fund, the 140-year-old national human services organization for everyone in performing arts and entertainment, announced at its Annual Gala yesterday that, effective immediately, they have changed their name to Entertainment Community Fund, in order to better reflect the broad scope of industry professionals they help.

A new performing arts convention geared towards young artists ages 10-19 is coming to Dallas. Rebel Convention is a three-day intensive that includes master classes with Broadway professionals and industry professionals, scholarships, performance showcases, and mental health resources and encouragement for artists.

Happy 2022 everyone! In my last article, I wrote about my favorite moments from 2021, and towards the end, I included some of the things I'm excited about for 2022. In this article, I am going to be diving in-depth into some of the things I talked about and also some things I forgot to mention in that article. The return of live theater is something I think we are all very excited about for 2022. While many shows made their return in 2021, there are many openings still to happen, on Broadway and around the world. While shows are currently being postponed or canceled due to the rise in Coronavirus cases, we can only hope that by the end of 2022 we will see pre-pandemic levels of theater engagement.

After 18 years, Caroline Thibodeaux is back on Broadway. Caroline, or Change, the beloved musical by Tony Kushner and Jeanine Tesori, returned to Broadway last night at Studio 54 in a stunning new revival from Roundabout Theatre Company.
