Veteran Twin Cities actress Sally Wingert is starring in the Minnesota Jewish Theatre Company's production of A Pickle, which opens May 27 and runs through June 19.

For the 37th annual presentation of PlayLabs Festival, the premier new play incubation program, the Playwrights' Center is meeting the changing needs of the moment. Public readings will be presented online and the festival roster has expanded to include four playwrights developing their work.

Theater Latté Da announces its first online benefit, Thursday, October 1 at 7PM CDT. 100% of the funds raised will go directly into the hands of theater artists. The event raises crucial funds to support NEXT Up, Theater Latté Da's intensive new works laboratory launched in May 2020. The online event is free to watch, though registration is required. The Guthrie Theater announced it will present its first-ever virtual benefit on Saturday, August 1 at 7 p.m. CDT. The online gathering will raise critical funds to help sustain the theater, celebrate local and national artists and uplift the community the Guthrie serves. Attending the virtual benefit is free, but registration is required. Captioning and ASL interpretation will be available. In lieu of a season announcement, Theater Latté Da announces a??NEXT UPa??,an intensive laboratory investing in the future of new musical theater. New work has always been a part of the company's DNA. Over the past eight years the company has further prioritized the support of new musicals and plays with music through its NEXT program: including commissions, workshops, the NEXT Festival, and of course world premieres. It will spend the coming months supporting playwrights, composers and lyricists.
