In a staging device that feels made for the cavernous Wilton’s Music Hall, Bibi Simpson as convicted murderer Ruth Ellis addresses the audience with aristocratic authority, a tiny figure within an isolated prison cell. We are instantly drawn into her world, witnesses and voyeurs to her version of events, and active participants in the birth of her notoriety.

Ruth Ellis was a nightclub hostess who shot and killed her violent upper class lover after a long abusive relationship.  She was executed for the crime in 1955, making her the last woman to be hanged in England. 

The new series, The Other Bennet Sister, will arrive on BritBox on May 6th in the U.S. and Canada. Watch a new teaser trailer for the drama, which brings Pride and Prejudice character Mary Bennet into the spotlight.

Farhan Akhtar, Lucy Boynton, Morfydd Clark, and Harry Lawtey have joined the cast of The Beatles — A Four-Film Cinematic Event, the ambitious Beatles biopic from Tony-winning director Sam Mendes.

Wilton's Music Hall, the world's oldest working Victorian music hall, has announced its 2026 spring season, kicking off the year with a wonderful array of theatre, music and opera.

The full cast has been announced for the ten-episode series The Other Bennet Sister from BritBox and the BBC. Produced by Bad Wolf, the production is now shooting in Wales. 

Full principal casting has been announced for the upcoming major revival of George Bernard Shaw's Mrs. Warren's Profession, directed by Dominic Cooke.

Mia McKenna-Bruce will take on the role of former royal aide Jane Andrews in the forthcoming 4-part drama The Lady written by Debbie O’Malley. She will star alongside Natalie Dormer who takes on the role of Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, and Ed Speleers who will play Thomas Cressman.

General booking is now open for the upcoming revival of George Bernard Shaw’s Mrs. Warren’s Profession starring Imelda Staunton and Bessie Carter, directed by Dominic Cooke.

Given the emotional investment required on stage and in the stalls, one feels somewhat shortchanged by a production that invites sympathy for a character with few redeeming features
