On this sixth day of the 12 days of Christmas, I need to thank BroadwayWorld, Robert Diamond and Nicole Rosky for asking me to curate this year's edition. I never dreamed it would be so much fun and bring back so many memories of holiday seasons past. Here's an iconic group, The Temptations, singing 'Silent Night.' We had many albums in our home by the legendary Motown group, but this one was definitely played over and over during the holidays. I immediately flash to my high school and college years when I hear it. Magic.

Back in 2003, BroadwayWorld launched as a modest, Broadway-only 'fan site' devoted to New York theatre. Created by Robert Diamond, the site had one goal- to bring together his dual passions for technology and the arts. Early features consisted primarily of message boards, the first theatre fans' choice awards, and a content aggregator, but from there, the site grew quickly and before long, we were generating original content, ramping up with writers and photographers and expanding constantly and consistently while embracing, and exploiting the latest technologies, social media, video, and more!

Put together two super actor/singers to perform The Songs Of Kander & Ebb and it's like Mantle and Maris hitting back to back homers in the world series. Oops, I promised myself I would avoid the Baseball references, however watching Haley Swindal you cannot help but wonder how this enormously talented lady became such an exciting entertainer coming from a sports/business family. Then again, George Steinbrenner did create exciting entertainment for millions with the Yankee franchise and he was also an avid fan and investor in Broadway shows.
BroadwayWorld is joining the chorus today of those wishing Michael Crawford a happy Birthday by featuring an interactive timeline of the star's career - that's featured on his web site. Just last night, Mark William made his solo nightclub debut at The Green Room 42 with the world premiere of 'Come Croon With Me.' Putting his own unique, youthful spin on golden age crooner styling, Mark performed a collection of classic tunes from Broadway and The Great American Songbook. With his sophisticated approach, he glided from Jerry Herman to Peter Allen to Henry Mancini with charismatic ease and a spring in his step.
We're meeting people all over the theatre scene in this episode. A Letter to Harvey Milk recently concluded it's Off-Broadway run, and I am sure it will become a regional staple. Adam Heller & Julia Knightel, the utterly astounding leads of the show are here to talk about the show and their careers.
