The holiday season is fast approaching! The Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) and The VETS have announced their Cyber Monday sale on Monday, November 28, 2022.

The Independent Presenters Network (IPN) resumed its biennial meeting in London last month. The meeting, which is usually held every two years, was on hold for three years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nick Cartell's return to the role of Valjean is reason enough to see this production. Hayden Tee as Javert is the reason to see it twice.

John Mellencamp shares previously unreleased song “Smart Guys” from the forthcoming reissue of his beloved album Scarecrow. The track was released alongside a lyric video directed by Shan Dan Horan. The Hip Hop Nutcracker, Tchaikovsky’s 130-year-old ballet reimagined as a holiday dance spectacle, will travel to the Providence Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, December 7 at 7:30P this holiday season while celebrating the show’s 10th season.

John Mellencamp is debuting the new lyric video for “Carolina Shag.' The track hails from his beloved album Scarecrow. Mellencamp recently confirmed at 76-night tour across North America kicking off in February; the announcement came live from the opening of his new, permanent exhibition at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

The national tour of COME FROM AWAY, a Broadway musical about the true story of the small town that welcomed the world, will make its highly-anticipated return to the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) for a limited engagement February 21 – 26, 2023. COME FROM AWAY tickets go on sale on Friday, October 7.

It’s a little bit surprising that the film version of Mean Girls was both a good movie, and also a hit.  Based on a non-fiction book about high school cliques that was aimed at parents and teens, it was transformed into a charming comedy by Tina Fey in 2004. It’s not too much of a stretch to think that the creators could get lightning to strike twice by transforming this beloved story into a Broadway musical, but despite the myriad talents of Fey and music director Jeff Richmond, Mean Girls The Musical can’t capture the magic of the film and feels rather underwhelming.

Presented by longtime promoter AEG Presents and sponsored by Turner Classic Movies, the tour will see 76 shows beginning with two nights in Bloomington, Indiana on February 5 and 6 and concluding with two nights in South Bend, Indiana on June 23 and 24.
