From Bleak House to Sketches by Boz, Dombey and Son to Our Mutual Friend, Dickens had a soft spot for Greenwich – frequently featuring the area in his stories, and so it’s particularly fitting that this acclaimed production comes to Greenwich Theatre this Christmas.

Rehearsal images have been released for the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre’s 12th annual panto Aladdin, a magical new adaptation written by award-winning comedian, actor and composer Vikki Stone, directed by Abigail Graham, running at the West London venue from 19 November 2021 to 02 January 2022, with opening night on 27 November.

We sat down with founder and director Austin McCormick of Théâtre XIV to chat about the reopening, Nutcracker Rouge, and what’s to come.

Ragtime opened last night, featuring a cast of Nashville stage veterans and a sizable coterie of performers, heretofore unknown to local audiences, who are certain to become fast favorites. Taking a brief respite from their hectic schedules of rehearsals, fittings, photo calls, more rehearsals and getting to know one another, four of those newcomers – Shelby Denise Smith, Wood Van Meter, Kortney Ballenger and Steven McCoy – took the time to answer our questions to tell you why you need to score those tickets for Ragtime now if you haven’t already.

The classic play has all the set-pieces and much imitated dialogue in a revival that also underlines the persistence of the anxieties and neuroses it exposes.

All shows will be at the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts.

The Joyce Theater Foundation will celebrate the return of their most raucous and rambunctious holiday tradition with Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo. More widely known simply as The Trocks, the all-male dance company will bring their signature combination of humor and grace to The Joyce Theater from December 14-January 2.
