The Drama League has announced the 2023 Drama League Awards Nominees. See the full list!

Mia Katigbak, actor-manager and co-founder of NAATCO, has announced the details for the Off-Broadway premiere of Hansol Jung’s modern verse translation of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, the classic tale of star-crossed love. 

A World Premiere modern verse translation of Shakespeare’s ode to young love hits the stage at Two River Theater from April 8 – April 30, 2023.

Transport Group in partnership with National Asian American Theatre Company (NAATCO) has announced that Edward Albee's A Delicate Balance, directed by Transport Group Artistic Director Jack Cummings III, will begin performances Saturday, October 22 at the Connelly Theater, 220 East 4 Street. The opening is set for Sunday, November 6 at 3pm.

This world premiere opened just last night and runs through Sunday, March 13.

The Public and The National Asian American Theatre Company (NAATCO) join forces in presenting OUT OF TIME, a collection of brand-new monologues by five award-winning Asian American playwrights, performed by an ensemble of actors all over the age of 60.

Casting has been announced for BARD AT THE GATE’s production of Lloyd Suh’s comedy about Asian-Americans in popular culture, CHARLES FRANCIS CHAN JR.’S EXOTIC ORIENTAL MURDER MYSTERY with FREE access for 24 hours starting JANUARY 26 at 7:30 p.m., according to the series producer Rosey Strub.

Hairspray Tony-winner Marc Shaiman will score Billy Eichner's new gay rom-com. Shaiman has also written the score for films like South Park, The First Wives Club, The American President, Sleepless in Seattle, Broadcast News, When Harry Met Sally, Beaches, City Slickers, The Addams Family, A Few Good Men, Sister Act, and George of the Jungle.

Harvey Fierstein has joined the cast of Bros, co-written and starring Billy Eichner. Featuring an all LGBTQIA+ cast, Bros has also added SNL star Bowen Yang. Previously announced for the film are Jim Rash, Eve Lindley, D’Lo Srijaerajah, Peter Kim, Justin Covington, Dot-Marie Jones and Becca Blackwell.

Ma-Yi Theater Company has announced its 2021–2022 season which includes a return to in-person  events as well as four digital premieres. The season, running September 2, 2021 – March 31, 2022, illustrates how theatrical innovation and powerful storytelling can thrive as the industry finds a safe way back to in-person events. 

NAATCO will present a virtual reading of Our Town by Thornton Wilder with an all-Asian American cast for one night only, Wednesday May 19th, at 8pm, in celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. The proceeds of this reading will benefit the company.
