The Public Theater announced today that two popular fall plays have extended due to strong demand, with a new block of tickets accessible on October 9 at 2 p.m.

The Public is currently hosting the New York premiere of WILD GOOSE DREAMS, written by Hansol Jung and directed by Leigh Silverman. WILD GOOSE DREAMS runs through Sunday, December 9, with an official press opening on Wednesday, November 14. Get a sneak peek at rehearsals below!

The OBIE Award-winning NAATCO, National Asian American Theatre Company, kicks off their 28th season with Stephen Brown-Fried's new adaptation of Shakespeare's Henry VI. This Off-Broadway limited engagement at the Mezzanine Theatre at A.R.T./New York Theaters (502 West 53rd Street at Tenth Avenue) opens Tuesday August 21st (Part 1) and Wednesday August 22nd (Part 2).  Performances continue through September 8th only.

Ensemble Studio Theatre (EST), along with EST's Youngblood, have announced new EST/Youngblood members for the 2017-2018 season.

Steppenwolf's LookOut Series has announced their summer lineup, which will feature a three week run of the acclaimed solo play, How To Be A Rock Critic (Based on the Writings of Lester Bangs) by Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen, the award-winning writers of The Exonerated and Aftermath. The show will run July 6 - July 22 in Steppenwolf's 1700 Theatre (1700 N Halsted St); the press performance is Friday, July 7 at 8pm.

The Revival, Hyde Park's comedy theater, announces its lineup of shows and events playing in April 2017. Inspired by the legacy of the Compass Players, The Revival brings improvisational comedy back to the same corner where it was invented in 1955!

Directors Scott Weinstein and Hannah Dawe and Music Director Jermaine Hill will lead a Valentine's Day themed event, LOVE IS LOVE IS LOVE: A concert benefiting Planned Parenthood, the Trevor Project and the Southern Poverty Law Center. The concert is set to take place at 8PM on Monday, February 13, at Windy City Playhouse (3014 W Irving Park Rd) and will feature several of Chicago's most beloved theater artists including Donica Lynn, Alex Weisman and Jonathan Butler-Duplessis.

Hudson Jeans welcomed HAMILTON Tony winner Daveed Diggs for a performance at Hudson Unfiltered Live on Monday, September 19th, at the Jacob J Javits Convention Center booth. Six world premiere plays and four new adaptations seen first by Chicago audiences were among those receiving nominations by The Jeff Awards Committee. 178 nominations in 32 categories honor Chicago Equity theatrical productions that opened between August 1, 2015 and July 31, 2016.

The Second City has announced the opening of The Second City e.t.c.'s 40th Revue, A Red Line Runs Through It. Reviewing press are invited to attend the show on Friday, April 29, 2016 at 8:00 p.m. at The Second City e.t.c. Theatre (2nd Floor of Piper's Alley, 230 W North Ave). A Grand Opening is scheduled for Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 8:00 p.m.

The 2016 Drama League Award Nominees for Outstanding Play, Outstanding Revival of a Play, Outstanding Musical, Outstanding Revival of a Musical, and the much-coveted Distinguished Performance Award were just announced this morning at Sardi's, by Aladdin stars Adam Jacobs, Courtney Reed and James Monroe Iglehart. The Obie Award-Winning  Ma-Yi Theater Company presents the New York premiere of HOUSE RULES, a new play by A. Rey Pamatmat, which opened last night, Thursday, March 31st, at HERE (145 Sixth Avenue, NYC). HOUSE RULES began previews on March 25th and runs through Saturday, April 16th.  Jessica Hagedorn, Tonya Pinkins ('Gotham'), Cory Michael Smith ('Gotham') and Andre Holland ('The Knick') celebrated with the cast at the opening night party.
