The American Theatre Wing (Heather Hitchens, President & CEO), along with Spectrum News NY1, announced the recipients of the 69th Annual Obie Awards. We have the full list of winners!

The Cherry Lane Theatre, the Off-Broadway venue now owned by film studio A24, has unveiled more of its opening week programming, including events featuring Spike Lee, Sofia Coppola, Jodie Foster, Michael Shannon, and more.

Obie winner Michael Chernus (Severance, Orange is the New Black, Spider-Man: Homecoming) returns to the NY stage after 11 years in Bubba Weiler’s debut play WELL, I’LL LET YOU GO. Extended through September 12 at The Space at Irondale. Read our interview.

GALECA: The Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics has revealed the nominations for its third annual Dorian Theater Awards, honoring outstanding achievements across Broadway and Off-Broadway during the 2024-2025 season. Modeled after the group’s acclaimed Dorian Awards for film and television, the theater honors recognize both mainstream productions and those with LGBTQ+ themes or creators.
