Rebecca Jayne-Davies and Ryan Bennett will star in The Barn Theatre's (Best Fringe Theatre - The Stage Awards 2019) upcoming production of Daddy Long Legs, the theatre's first musical production of 2019. 

Based on Jean Webster's 1912 novel of the same name, Daddy Long Legs is a postal affair that tells the story of orphan Jerusha Abbott and her mysterious benefactor, who she dubs 'Daddy Long Legs' after seeing his elongated shadow and whom she sends a letter once a month about her new-found experiences.

Last night six time MAC Award Winner Eric Michael Gillett ((Broadway's Sweet Smell of Success, Kiss Me Kate, The Frogs and Television's Quantico, Mysteries of Laura, Daredevil, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) returned to the stage at the Laurie Beechman Theatre with Stop This Train, his first new solo show in five years. Seen most recently as Paul Manafort on Showtime's The Loudest Voice, Gillett's Stop This Train is a wry and witty collections of songs and observations about navigating the aging process while trying to keep both your dignity and your mind intact. Featuring contemporary songwriters Dar Williams, David Yazbeck, Paul Gordon, Craig Carnelia, Peter Mills, Demi Lovato, and John Mayer, along with classic cabaret and musical theater composers Stephen Sondheim, Marvin Hamlisch, along with original songs by musical director Mike Pettry (Television's Documentary Now! Final casting is complete for the star-studded Broadway concert event of the summer, Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Into the Woods. Lovers of new theatre will gather this August for an advance look at tomorrow's hits at TheatreWorks Silicon Valley's 2019 New Works Festival at Palo Alto's Lucie Stern Theatre. An all-star cast of Broadway favorites is set to lead a one-night only concert of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Into the Woods in New York City.

On Sunday night at the 73rd Annual Tony Awards, TheatreWorks Silicon Valley received the 2019 Regional Theatre Tony Award. The honor is accompanied by a grant of $25,000, made possible by City National Bank's generous support of the Creative Arts Awards. Watch the theatre accept the Tony Award.
