Apples and Oranges Studios, Judith Manocherian, and Streaming Musicals announce the release of their latest soundstage musical, No One Called Ahead, coming to your favorite device on June 13, 2019. The Tony Awards® Administration Committee has announced that based on the recommendation by the American Theatre Critics Association, TheatreWorks Silicon Valley will be the recipient of the 2019 Regional Theatre Tony Award. New Musicals Weekend aims to develop new musicals for the CLO Cabaret by supporting writing teams with financial and creative resources and by building relationships with local and national artists.

The American Music Theatre Project (AMTP) at Northwestern University's School of Communication will present workshop performances of three new music theater works as the 2018-2019 season continues.

Theatre enthusiasts packed the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts last night to hear Founding Artistic Director Robert Kelley and Executive Director Phil Santora of TheatreWorks Silicon Valley reveal the lineup for the company's 50th season, which launches this summer. Kelley's 50th and final season as Artistic Director of TheatreWorks Silicon Valley includes triumphant returns of TheatreWorks favorites, bold premieres developed at the company's annual New Works Festival, and celebrated works from the nation's leading playwrights.

Monumental Theatre Company's Daddy Long Legs tells the story of Jerusha Abbott, her mysterious young benefactor and the affection that grows between them by way of handwritten letters. John Caird's Drama Desk Award-winning book for this stage musical combines the love story derived from the 1912 novel by Jean Webster with contemporary music and lyrics by Paul Gordon. Daddy Long Legs will run from March 7 through March 30, 2019.

JANE EYRE, THE MUSICAL began workshops in 1995 before moving to the La Jolla Playhouse in 1999 for pre-Broadway try-out performances. The musical premiered on Broadway in December of 2000 and closed in June of 2001, scoring 5 Tony Award nominations along the way. And deservedly so. Paul Gordon's elegant music and moving lyrics reveal the simmering passions and inner struggles the main characters face.

Coincidentally, the theatre world is newly home to not one, but two works based on Austen's masterpiece Emma: Paul Gordon's musical adaptation, a regional staple for years, has finally received a cast recording.

Delightfully appealing and positively buoyant in a great many aspects, this wonderfully witty and quite beguiling production--directed with engaging gusto by Casey Long--continues performances at their Cripe Stage in Anaheim through December 23, 2018.
