Photo Coverage: The Public Theater Celebrates Opening Night of MISS YOU LIKE HELL

The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) presents the New York premiere of Miss You Like Hell. With book and lyrics by Quiara Alegria Hudes, music and lyrics by Erin McKeown, and choreography by Danny Mefford, the new musical is directed by Public Theater Resident Director and Founder of Public Works Lear deBessonet. Part of The Public's Astor Anniversary Season at their landmark downtown home on Lafayette Street, celebrating 50 years of new work at 425 Lafayette Street and the 50th Anniversary of HAIR, the musical will now run an additional week through Sunday, May 13.

BWW Review: Quiara Alegría Hudes and Erin McKeown's MISS YOU LIKE HELL Explores The Emotional and Political Walls That Can Separate a Mother and Daughter

The current American president is never mentioned in bookwriter/lyricist Quiara Alegria Hudes and composer/lyricist Erin McKeown's lovely and touching chamber musical MISS YOU LIKE HELL.  But even though the piece has been in development well before anyone thought of the former reality TV star as a serious candidate, his presence is well-felt in their story of an undocumented Mexican-American mom who is facing deportation while trying to rebuild her relationship with her citizen daughter.

Broadway Does St Paddy's Day Tonight At Opry City Stage

Matt DeAngelis (Waitress), Cassidy Stirtz (ONCE) and Erikka Walsh (Once) have teamed up once again, with additional members from every U.S. Company of ONCE: The Musical, for a FREE one-night only musical jam extravaganza. Tonight, titled 'Broadway Does St. Paddy's', has company members joining forces to celebrate the 'Luck O' The Irish' and benefit VH1's Save The Music Foundation by raising money to keep music in public schools around the United States. 'Broadway Does St. Paddy's Day' is sure to be filled with music, storytelling, and most importantly, keeping arts in education.

With book and lyrics by Quiara Alegria Hudes and music and lyrics by Erin McKeown, the new musical is directed by Public Theater Resident Director and Founder of Public Works Lear deBessonet, with choreography by Danny Mefford, part of The Public's Astor Anniversary Season at their landmark downtown home on Lafayette Street, celebrating 50 years of new work at 425 Lafayette Street and the 50th Anniversary of HAIR. The musical will run through Sunday, May 6, with an official press opening on Tuesday, April 10. Continuing The Public's mission to make great theater accessible to all, The Public's First Performance "Free for All" continues this spring; free tickets to the first preview on Tuesday, March 20 will be available beginning March 13, via TodayTix mobile lottery.

Tribeca Film Festival Shares 2018 Feature Film Program

The 17th annual Tribeca Film Festival, presented by AT&T, revealed its feature film lineup championing the discovery of emerging voices and celebrating new work from established filmmaking talent. To close the Festival, Tribeca will World Premiere The Fourth Estate, from Oscar®-nominated director Liz Garbus, which follows The New York Times' coverage of the Trump administration's first year. The Centerpiece Gala will be the World Premiere of Drake Doremus' sci-fi romance Zoe starring Ewan McGregor, Lea Seydoux, Rashida Jones, and Theo James. The 2018 Tribeca Film Festival takes place April 18-29.

WORKING to Release Original London Cast Recording With New Music By Lin-Manuel Miranda

Ghostlight Records has announced the release of the Original London Cast Recording of Stephen Schwartz's WORKING on Friday, March 2. The album is being released following a hugely successful run at Southwark Playhouse, directed by Luke Sheppard in Summer 2017. This will be the first recording of WORKING since the Original Broadway Cast Recording in 1978 and will feature never before released tracks by Lin-Manuel Miranda. The musical will begin previews in The Public's Newman Theater on Tuesday, March 20 and run through Sunday, May 6, with an official press opening on Tuesday, April 10.
