This February, American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) will present Paranormal Activity, an original story based on Paramount Pictures’ terrifying film franchise—now unleashed live on stage at A.C.T.’s Toni Rembe.

You can now get a first look at production photography for the West End run of Paranormal Activity. Patrick Heusinger and Melissa James reprise their Leeds Playhouse roles as ‘James’ and ‘Lou’.

Chris Fisher’s illusions are the ace in the hole for this production. It’s astonishing what can be done live on stage these days, but the effects in PARANORMAL ACTIVITY will blow your mind.

Here's my conversation with Playwright Levi Holloway on the development of the Paranormal Activity, how it relates to the film franchise, and the creation of the special effects-filled production at Ahmanson Theatre Nov 13 to Dec 7.

This new PARANORMAL ACTIVITY play (based on Paramount Pictures’ PARANORMAL ACTIVITY horror films) has terrific stage effects and absolutely creeped me out. Based on the merits of the script alone, there’s not much to recommend in the material. But it leaves plenty of room for creepy effects and terrifying stage surprises — and the inventive and frightful production is definitely the selling point!
