CMA New Artist of the Year Jimmie Allen, four-time Grammy nominee Mickey Guyton and critically acclaimed songwriter, country recording artist and activist Orville Peck join the groundbreaking new music competition series, “My Kind of Country,” as scouts searching the globe to find talented artists and break the next big country star.

The seven-track collection showcases the original new holiday song, “Christmas Alone,” alongside intimate versions of tracks from Kirke’s acclaimed 2022 sophomore album, Lady For Sale, recorded earlier this year at The Blue Room at Third Man Records Nashville. Plus, check out upcoming tour dates!

The WYO Performing Arts and Education Center opens its 2022-2023 Season with local favorites The Two Tracks and 2018 Telluride Bluegrass Festival winner, Wood Belly Friday September 23 at 7pm. 

The inaugural 2022 lineup includes performances by hippie and cowboy fan favorites Cody Jinks, Trampled by Turtles, Orville Peck, Houndmouth, The Cadillac Three, Shane Smith & The Saints, Nikki Lane, Amigo The Devil, Sierra Hull, Fruition, Charles Wesley Godwin, Kat Hasty, Myron Elkins, with more to be announced in the coming weeks. 

The documentary features studio footage from throughout her career and new interviews with Shania at home. Not Just A Girl is the story of a woman who made her own way, independent of anyone else; the story of an artist who took enormous risks. Among the guest voices in Not Just A Girl are Lionel Richie, Diplo, Avril Lavigne, and Orville Peck.

Released earlier this year, Lady For Sale saw Kirke building upon the artistic momentum of her 2016 debut EP and 2018’s full-length Heart Head West with an invigorating country pop-tinged blend of twangy hooks, glam guitars, high-spirited synth stylings, and the New York/Nashville-based artist’s deeply candid, increasingly powerful songcraft.

On the new episode of Trixie Motel, they check out The Brady House starring Property Brother Jonathan Scott and New Girl actor/musician Zooey Deschanel. The new series will also feature hospitality mogul Lisa Vanderpump, comedian Nicole Byer, and drag queen/partner in crime Katya.

More About Teddy and The Rough Riders (the album): Up until the sessions for Teddy and the Rough Riders in 2019, the band—Jack Quiggins (vocals, guitar), Ryan Jennings (vocals, bass), Nic Swafford (drums), and Luke Schneider (pedal steel)—had mostly recorded at home.

The band released their first preview of the album with “Livin in the Woods,” a grand idea of leaving town and disappearing into the woods to start a farm with friends. The track premiered with The Boot who hailed the band and called the trio, “a must watch act to watch in 2022.”

Boston Calling, the acclaimed three-day festival making its triumphant return to Allston, MA this Memorial Day Weekend, May 27 - 29, 2022, announced today the addition of Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees and GRAMMY Award winners Nine Inch Nails as a headliner of the 2022 festival.
