The Virginia Theatre Festival has announced casting for its production of Disney’s Newsies, directed and choreographed by Matthew Steffens. The musical will run in July at the University of Virginia.

Broadway's Nyla Watson will join the cast of the Actors Studio of New Jersey's production of Finishing the Hat, The Music of Sondheim, an unforgettable celebration of the legendary composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim.

The Green Room 42 will present Broadway’s Nyla Watson in A Sondheim Girl: Celebrating Stephen Sondheim - a special birthday celebration honoring what would have been Stephen Sondheim’s 96th birthday.

AT THIS PERFORMANCE… will return to The Green Room 42 featuring standbys, understudies and alternates from Ragtime; Wicked; Hadestown; Aladdin; Beetlejuice; Masquerade; and The Seat Of Our Pants.

WAITRESS was originally a small indie film with a big heart. Written and directed by Adrienne Shelly, the 2007 movie told the story of Jenna, a Southern diner waitress with a knack for pie-making and a longing for a better life. The film quietly built a loyal following, beloved for its quirky charm, honest emotion, and bittersweet tone.

ZACH Theatre has revealed the cast and creatives for the Tony-nominated musical Waitress, with a book by Jessie Nelson and music and lyrics by Sara Bareilles. Learn more!

The recording of Waitress: The Musical, starring Sara Bareilles will be available to stream on Max in time for Valentine's Day, February 14, 2025. The filmed capture was screened in theaters in December of 2023 and is also available to rent and purchase.

The recording of Waitress: The Musical, starring Sara Bareilles is set to air on PBS Great Performances on Friday, November 15, at 9 p.m. ET. The filmed capture previously appeared in theaters last December and is also available to rent and purchase on digital platforms.
