Steven Reineke Opens The Houston Symphony Season with Opening Night Gala and Concert

Next month, the Houston Symphony and Principal POPS Conductor Steven Reineke open the 2021–22 Season with two sensational programs at Jones Hall: the Bank of America POPS program, Once Upon a Time: Alan Menken's Broadway, Sept. 3–5, and the one-night only Opening Night Gala and Concert with Renée Fleming, sponsored by ConocoPhillips, on Sept. 11.

Earlier this week, the New York Theatre community gathered for a private screening of the upcoming film RESPECT, which is out in theatres starting today, August 13. Star of the film, Jennifer Hudson, director Liesl Tommy and more were on hand for the big night.

Resounding is partnering with Radial Park to present five in-person live immersive audio plays featuring live actors for five weekends, including a remount of the company’s popular Treasure Island, an adaptation of Shakespeare’s The Tempest, a new ghost thriller, Beyond The Veil, and an unauthorized parody in iambic pentameter of a classic film script, Clu-eth, and the musical Triassic Parq with the original off-Broadway cast.
