New casting has been announced for the rest of the Broadway run of Into the Woods. Check out who is returning for the final weeks!

The Broadway production of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s Tony Award-winning triumph, “Into the Woods,” will play a series of exclusive engagements across the U.S. in 2023, including Center Theatre Group / Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles.

AT THIS PERFORMANCE…  returns to The Green Room 42 featuring Standbys, Understudies and Alternates from SIX THE MUSICAL; & JULIET;  KIMBERLY AKIMBO; ALMOST FAMOUS; MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG; KINKY BOOTS and BAT OUT OF HELL.  

The Broadway revival of James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim’s Into the Woods, which concludes its engagement at the St. James Theatre on January 8, play engagements in select cities across the United States. Learn more about the cast, where the show will be, how to get tickets, and more!

2022 Tony Award winner Joaquina Kalukango will join the cast of the New York City Center Encores! production of James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim’s revival of Into the Woods as ‘The Witch’ beginning Friday, December 16th through the end of the run at the St. James Theatre.

At This Performance…  will return to The Green Room 42 featuring standbys, understudies, and alternates From Moulin Rouge! The Musical; Almost Famous; Hadestown; Funny Girl; Aladdin; and Paradise Square.  

The New York City Center Encores! production of James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim’s revival of Into the Woods will now offer general rush tickets for every performance at $59 per ticket. As previously announced, Into the Woods has extended for the final time, by popular demand, through January 8, 2023. 

Playwright and lyricist Joe DiPietro (Memphis, Nice Work If You Can Get It) sat down with Patrick Oliver Jones, for this week's episode of Why I'll Never Make It, to talk about his long history with theatrical children's charity Only Make Believe as well as a couple of his shows that struggled coming to and surviving on Broadway. Only Make Believe is Back on Broadway for its Annual Gala, hosted by John Oliver of HBO's Emmy Award Winning Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, set for Monday November 14th at 7pm at the St. James Theatre.

The cast of Into the Woods will perform on The View for their Halloween episode. The production recently made its broadcast television debut, with the cast performing the title number and Andy Karl and Gavin Creel performing 'Agony' on the TODAY Show.

Gavin Creel helped breast cancer survivor Carina Ranieri fulfill her lifelong dream of dancing on a Broadway stage. After choosing college over pursuing performing Carina Ranieri found peace by dancing through her breast cancer diagnosis and now she was able to live out her dream by dancing onstage at Into the Woods. Gabrielle's Angel Foundation for Cancer Research raised $2.8 million at Angel Ball hosted by co-founders, songwriter Denise Rich and her daughters Daniella Rich Kilstock and Ilona Rich Schachter.  Angel Ball made its return to Cipriani Wall Street in New York City, after hosting a virtual event in 2020 and a Hamptons fundraiser in 2021.

Denee Benton, who starred as Cinderella in the off-Broadway run of Into The Woods at City Center earlier this year, will reprise her role in the Broadway run of the production next month.

Preorders are now available for the CD and vinyl versions for the cast recording of the critically acclaimed Broadway revival of the New York City Center Encores! production of James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim’s Into The Woods. To celebrate the launch of preorders, the production released a new music video featuring Patina Miller recording 'Last Midnight.'

Andy Karl and Gavin Creel appeared on The TODAY Show this morning to perform 'Agony' from Into the Woods. Creel currently stars as the Wolf and Cinderella's Prince in Into the Woods. Having briefly filled in for Creel in September, Karl will return to the production as Rapunzel's Prince on October 11. Watch the video performance now!
