American Stage's outdoor musicals in Demens Landing Park are by far the city's most highly attended theatrical event each year. 

A defiant and exuberant coming-of-age story follows a young girl from the playgrounds of Zimbabwe to an America that is not the utopia she imagined, in an adaptation of the novel by NoViolet Bulawayo.

The voice cast includes: Academy Award winner Whoopi Goldberg, Monique Coleman (High School Musical), Ronen Rubinstein (9-1-1 Lone Star), Joy Ofodu (Mighty Express) and Lupita Pineda (activist) along with Maya Penn who is also the lead animator. Watch the video trailer for the new film now!

DARKNESS OF LIGHT will play a limited engagement at The 36th Street Theatre (312 W 36th St. 4th floor, New York, NY 10018). Bebe Neuwirth will return to the role of Dr. Lilith Sternin for the Frasier revival on Paramount+. She will appear in the series as a guest star, reuniting with her onscreen partner Kelsey Grammer, who is returning as Frasier Crane. Neuwirth originated the role on the series in 1986.

CENTRAL WORKS 2023 SEASON opens with the premiere of MONDRAGOLA running March18–April 16 (previews Mar 16 & 17) a new comedy from CW co-director/resident playwright Gary Graves. The play imagines an impoverished and exiled Niccolo Machiavelli in his later years, trying to get back into the good graces of the15th century Medici Court in Florence by presenting a farcical sex comedy he has written.
