The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts has revealed additional programming for Comedy at the Kennedy Center, a signature program focused on elevating comedy as an art form and uniting the local community together through laughter.

Two-time Tony Award nominee Alex Brightman will star as Richard Dreyfuss opposite Colin Donnell as Roy Scheider, joining Ian Shaw in The Shark Is Broken on Broadway. Check out all of the details!

Peppermint’s “SO-SIGH-ETY Effects” stand-up comedy special. Peppermint invites you on a journey through New York City to get a look at what it's like to be a single Black transgender woman in today's society. Peppermint will then take her turn on the stage live in Los Angeles at the Mark Taper Forum where she will star in “A Transparent Musical.'

Comedian, actress, and host, Heather McMahan, has announced her debut at Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas on Saturday, August 19, 2023. McMahan will bring her wit and southern flair with Heather McMahan: The Comeback Tour to the intimate venue for one night only. Tickets for the show go on sale to the public on Friday, April 7, 2023 at 10 a.m. PST.

The 2023 Audie Awards recognizes distinction in audiobooks and spoken-word entertainment. Billy Porter won for Best Autobiography/Memoir for his Finding Me audiobook. Viola Davis’ Finding Me, which she wrote and narrated, and published by HarperCollins Publishers, earned two Audie Awards. The Audio Publishers Association has announced that writer, comedian, television host, and actress Michelle Buteau will host the 28th Annual Audie Awards.
