The band's getting back together again at the 18th Tribeca Film Festival, presented by AT&T. This Is Spinal Tap will return to the big screen for the iconic mockumentary's 35th anniversary at the 2019 Festival. Generation X will also have a comeback for the 25th anniversary of Reality Bites. The storytellers behind the cult classics will be on hand for cast and creator reunions. The 2019 Tribeca Film Festival runs April 24 - May 5.

The New Group has just announced complete casting and the design team for Clueless, The Musical by Amy Heckerling.  This world premiere production, with choreography by Kelly Devine, directed by Kristin Hanggi, features Ephie Aardema, Lori Alan, Sara Andreas, Gilbert L. Due to demand, The New Group has announced a one-week extension for the world premiere production of Sharr White's The True, with Austin Cauldwell, Edie Falco, Glenn Fitzgerald, Michael McKean, John Pankow, Peter Scolari and Tracy Shayne, directed by Scott Elliott. Originally set to play a limited Off-Broadway engagement through October 21, this production now plays through Sunday, October 28. Principal photography has wrapped on the VR comedy short SHADY FRIEND starring Nick Kocher (former writer, “Saturday Night Live”), Nick Rutherford (Brigsby Bear, former writer, “Saturday Night Live”) Minka Kelly (The Roommate, “Friday Night Lights”) and 'Weird Al' Yankovic. The film, which is produced by Positron and Ralph Smyth Entertainment, is the first multisensory VR experience incorporating immersive and interactive VR, scents, motion, and haptics created from the ground-up for the Positron Voyager®. SHADY FRIEND was shot on the Z CAM V1 Pro and K1 Pro with 360 and volumetric filming taking place in Los Angeles, CA.
