A HAUNTING IN VENICE is coming to Hulu and Digital. Get ready for a chilling supernatural thriller set in the heart of Venice. A Haunting in Venice was produced and directed by Kenneth Branagh (Murder on the Orient Express, Death on the Nile) who also stars alongside Kyle Allen, Camille Cottin, Jamie Dornan, Tina Fey, Jude Hill, and Michelle Yeoh.

Theatre Arlington has announced the fourth installment for their 50th anniversary season, Fly by Night. The show takes place against the backdrop of bustling New York City during the 1965 blackout. With its innovative music, lyrics, and book by Will Connolly, Michael Mitnick, and Kim Rosenstock, Fly by Night takes audiences on a journey filled with true romance, dry humor, and the power of dreams.

Theatre Arlington is thrilled to open the third installment in our 50th Anniversary season, On Golden Pond by Ernest Thompson. This classic play follows an elderly couple spending their summer at their lake house, where they reconnect with their estranged daughter. The story is a heartfelt meditation on the complications of aging, family, and forgiveness.

Theatre Arlington is shifting gears from “the mother of all musicals” to what some consider one of the funniest comedies ever written for the stage, Noises Off by Michael Frayn. This out-of-control play within a play opens Friday, March 31st, and is the second production in the theater’s 50th anniversary season.

Experiencing something familiar through a new lens can be particularly thrilling. Whether that be a story brought to the stage from a beloved book or film, an untold side of a familiar tale or a modern take on a classic – experiencing something old in a new and different way is exciting. That was my experience seeing The Winter Park Playhouse’s latest production, NUNSENSE A-MEN! – a mounting of the classic Dan Goggin musical comedy with a twist – all the Nuns that in“habit” the stage are played by men (thus the “A-Men!” in the title.) And as with so many productions of this audience favorite before it, The Winter Park Playhouse’s production of NUNSENSE A-MEN! delivers many laughs and a downright good time.

The Winter Park Playhouse continues its 20th Anniversary as Central Florida's professional musical theatre with the hilarious Off-Broadway musical comedy hit - Nunsense A-Men! - running January 20 through February 18, 2023 on the theatre's Mainstage.

Well, those are still the days in downtown Arlington with Theatre Arlington's production of Hooray for Holidays: Theatre Arlington's Musical TV Special, an original musical written by the theater's executive producer, Steven D. Morris.

Main Street Theatre & Dance will present a night of crazy, kooky performances by insanely special guests including the cast of MSTDA'S 'THE PROM', a return of the EVILS from MSTDA'S Children's Theatre 'DESCENDANTS', and the appearance of an actual Broadway wig from one of the greatest and the longest running Broadway musicals of all time.

Chicago Humanities Festival has announced the hiring of two passionate Co-Creative Directors to lead its programming efforts: Michael Green and Lauren M. Pacheco.

Theatre Arlington will present The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee on June 3rd. This hilarious and endearing musical focuses on six quirky pre-teens (all played by adults) as they compete for a slot in the National Spelling Bee. As each speller has their moment at the mic, they candidly reveal their hopes, dreams, and touching stories about their home lives.

Based on Agatha Christie’s 1937 novel, director Kenneth Branagh and an all-star cast bring new life to one of the most popular murder mysteries of all time.  Critics and audiences alike have praised the exquisite Death on the Nile for its stunning cinematography, rich storytelling and outstanding ensemble cast. Theatre Arlington re-opens with a heavenly production for 49th season Sister Act joyfully welcomes patrons back to live theater in downtown Arlington, March 11, 2022:

Death on the Nile is based on the 1937 novel by Agatha Christie. Kenneth Branagh, back as the iconic detective Hercule Poirot, is joined by Tom Bateman, four-time Oscar® nominee Annette Bening, Russell Brand, Ali Fazal, Dawn French, Gal Gadot, Armie Hammer, Rose Leslie, Emma Mackey, Sophie Okonedo, Jennifer Saunders and Letitia Wright.

Stolen Shakespeare Guild, Fort Worth’s classical theater company, presents the Stolen Shakespeare Festival 2022 featuring HAMLET and THE MERRY WIVES OF WINDSOR by William Shakespeare. The festival runs February 11, 2022 thru March 6, 2022 at the Fort Worth Community Arts Center in the Sanders Theater.

Within the attic of an insane asylum, in a time and place of little importance and for reasons unknown, eight women of history convene to discuss the business of their lives - shells of people who once embodied greatness, now pieced together by moments of nostalgia and hysteria. When all that was has been stripped away, these women are brought together to test their fate in the final act - that of survival. The absurdity of the world in which they live forces them to be as they always were, but spiral further and further down the rabbit hole of insanity - to simultaneously be and not to be.
