From the most public corners of Northeast Los Angeles comes new indie-folk band Border Collie, consisting of Elon Thomas (guitar, vocals), Kiefer Derrick (guitars, vocals, drums) and Julian Bonilla Rivera (bass). After bumping shoulders playing shows at The Echo and at various house shows, they got together in the summer of 2022.

The ceremony will take place at the 27th Annual Art Directors Guild’s Excellence in Production Design Awards.

The Art Directors Guild (ADG, IATSE Local 800) has announced that Illustrator/Storyboard Artist Janet Kusnick will be presented with an Art Directors Guild Lifetime Achievement Award by the Illustrators and Matte Artists (IMA) Council. The celebration will take place at the 27th Annual ADG Awards on Saturday February 18, 2023, at the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown. Making the announcement was Guild President Nelson Coates, ADG and Awards Producers Michael Allen Glover, ADG and Megan Elizabeth Bell, ADG.

The Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle has announced the nominees for theatrical excellence for 2020 and 2021. This year's awards have been combined due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

In 2001, a Gothic-revival-style church located in the Grand Center Arts District of St. Louis, Missouri, was destroyed by fire, with only its architectural shell still standing. Known as the 'Spring Church,' the remaining structure became a beloved community landmark and the site of impromptu gatherings and other events.
