Broken Nose Theatre Announces Seventh Season

Broken Nose Theatre is pleased to announce it Seventh Season, featuring a world premiere and two Midwest premieres to presented at its resident home, The Den Theatre, 1331 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood.

ADG Film Society Presents SPACEHUNTER In 3D, 8/5

A special screening of Spacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone 3D (1983) and a unique tribute to three of the original creative collaborators will conclude the Art Directors Guild (ADG) Film Society's 2018 screening series at the Egyptian Theater on Sunday, August 5 at 5:30 pm.

Line-Up Announced For Broken Nose Theatre's BECHDEL FEST 6

Broken Nose Theatre, recipient of the 2018 Broadway In Chicago Emerging Theatre Award, is pleased to announce the full line-up for BECHDEL FEST 6: REVOLUTION, the company's annual festival of new short plays featuring an ensemble of female-identifying and non-binary actors talking about things other than men. Presented as part of Steppenwolf's LookOut Series, BECHDEL FEST will play three performances only.

Celebrating its 50th Anniversary as a science-fiction classic, Planet of the Apes will headline the next Art Directors Guild (ADG) Film Society's 2018 screening series at the Egyptian Theater on Sunday, June 24 at 5:30 pm. A conversation withPlanet of the Apes Oscar®-nominated Production Designer William J. Creber, ADG (The Poseidon Adventure, The Towering Inferno) will follow the movie exploring the making of the cult film and its timeless designs, moderated by Film Society Founder John Muto, ADG. The annual ADG Screening Series “Production Design: Designers on Design,” highlighting the work of renowned Production Designers and their creative collaborations, is in association with American Cinematheque and sponsored by The Hollywood Reporter.

Broken Nose Theatre To Receive BIC Emerging Theatre Award

The League of Chicago Theatres announces Broken Nose Theatre as the recipient of the 2018 Broadway In Chicago Emerging Theatre Award. The award will be presented at the League of Chicago Theatres Gala on Monday, May 21, 2018 at the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago, 120 E. Delaware Place.

ADG Film Society 2018 Screening Series Kicks Off Sunday April 22 With GRAND HOTEL Screening

Art Directors Guild (ADG) and American Cinematheque kick off the 2018 ADG Film Society Screening Series with a A Tribute To CEDRIC GIBBONS, MGM'S Oscar®-winning Supervising Art Director, featuring a special screening of GRAND HOTEL (1932). A conversation will follow exploring the legacy of Gibbons' work and spotlighting in the Golden Age of Hollywood socialites. A short tribute film will be shown depicting the range of Gibbons extraordinary work and his enduring contributions to design and Art Deco in cinema. The ADG Film Society Series is sponsored by The Hollywood Reporter. 

Art Directors Guild Film Society Announces 2018 Screening Series Presented with the American Cinematheque

The Art Directors Guild (ADG) Film Society and the American Cinematheque are co-hosting the annual 2018 Screening Series “Production Design: Designers On Design” highlighting the work of renowned Production Designers and their creative collaborations. The monthly series will run from April through August, and the screenings will alternate between the American Cinematheque's Lloyd E. Rigler Theatre at the Egyptian (6712 Hollywood Boulevard, Hollywood) and the Max Palevsky Theatre at the Aero (1328 Montana Avenue, Santa Monica) with all screenings starting at 5:30 pm. Moderating the screenings are Production Designers THOMAS A. BWW Review: HAL & BEE at 59E59 Theaters-A Clever Blend of Reality and Dark Comedy

59E59 Theaters is currently presenting the NYC premiere of Hal & Bee written by Max Baker and directed by Sarah Norris. The play portrays the trials of a long-time married couple and reveals their conflicts. Kravis Center Presents TEN GRANDS On February 18

In a lavish and breathtaking display, Ten Grands boasts ten grand pianos on stage at the same time. Several arrangements showcase all ten pianos playing together, and each of the artists performs a solo as well. This exceptional evening also includes a medley from Phantom of the Opera featuring the Kravis Center's George W. Mergens Memorial Organ. The one-night-only event takes place at the Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, February 18 at 8 pm.

Eclipse Theatre Company Announces 2018 Season

Chicago's Eclipse Theatre Company, the only theatre company in the Midwest to focus on a single playwright each season, has announced that they will feature the works of legendary American playwright William Inge for the 26th Anniversary, 2018 Season. Eclipse plans to explore the range of Inge's canon with three full productions, readings, and public events focused on the playwright and his works.

World Premiere Of Screwball Comedy ASHES TO ASHES Comes to The Odyssey

The Athena Cats, a collective of Southern California female playwrights and directors, presents the world premiere of a madcap romantic comedy that's a perfect escape for the holidays. Ashes to Ashes, written by Debbie Bolsky and directed by Katherine James, opens as a visiting production at the Odyssey Theatre on Dec. 9, where it continues through Jan. 14, 2018.
