Conceived by multi award- winning writer Archie Maddocks and directed by Talawa's Artistic Director, Michael Buffong, this bittersweet comedy-drama rejoices in the familiar comforts of London's diverse communities, whilst confronting how the rapid pace of change can erode deeply held traditions.

The Autumn – Spring season at Park Theatre includes the London premiere of new musical Little Women, a work in progress showing of Tony! [The Tony Blair Rock Opera] by Harry Hill and Steve Brown, and a host of Christmas delights for every age and taste.

The little-known condition Premature Ovarian Insufficiency (POI) and attitudes to women's health issues in general are explored, questioned and raged against in a funny and heart-warming show about two sisters coming to terms with one's recent diagnosis.

Ten characters navigating their way through the trauma. Wanting justice to be done, the grief to end and to reach a place of acceptance. To feel in control again. This shattering new play puts the violence we do not speak about absolutely centre stage.

Gaddas & Clark will initially produce small, power-packed productions based on classic books, finding new ways to tell these well-known stories with fresh interpretations and unexpected  twists. They are already collaborating with industry-leading figures to develop this work.  

Each two-hour session can be attended in-person or online, and are for those that identify as working class, LGBTQI+, those who are deaf or disabled and those of a Culturally Diverse Heritage. 

Park Theatre has announced its reopening, starting today with a two-act drama commissioned by the venue that starts online & ends live in Park200, reopening the building on 4th August.  The season will include a Bruntwood Prize- and Alfred Fagon Award-shortlisted co-production with Talawa, the premiere of a ghost story based on true events & more.

On Sunday 6 December, stars gathered at the Actors’ Church (St Paul’s Church) in London’s Covent Garden, to film the concert: We Need A Little Christmas, in support of Shelter and Crisis at Christmas.

On November 26 at 8pm, a third virtual fundraising event took place to benefit Joe Allen's in the UK! The event featured Ian McKellen and Jennifer Saunders in conversation with Harriet Thorpe, alongside the likes of Christopher Biggins, Lesley Joseph, Amanda Barrie, Maureen Lipman and Gyles Brandreth.

Following a hugely successful online run, the award-winning digital revival of Martin Sherman's Rose will return due to overwhelming demand. Featuring an unmissable star-turn from Dame Maureen Lipman (Coronation Street, ITV; Celebrity Gogglebox, Channel 4; The Pianist), the 'tour de force' performance will be made available to stream throughout lockdown, until Sunday 13th December.

Park Theatre has been awarded £250,000 as part of the Government's £1.57 billion Culture Recovery Fund (CRF) to help face the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic and to ensure they have a sustainable future, the Culture Secretary has announced today.

Many independent, alternative and fringe theatre venues and companies responded to the challenges of the Covid pandemic by taking their shows online. OffWestEnd responded to this whole new strand of theatre by launching the OnComm award for the best of this new online theatre.
