Searchlight Pictures’ Flamin’ Hot, Eva Longoria’s feature film directorial debut, launched June 9th in a historic first for Hulu and Disney+ as a simultaneous premiere of an original film, becoming Searchlight’s most-watched streaming motion picture of all time. The White House invited Longoria to a White House screening for the Bidens.

The Axelrod Performing Arts Center will mount New Jersey's first professional production of the Broadway musical, The Prom, beginning on May 5 and running through May 21.

It stars Jesse Garcia (Quinceañera) as Richard, Annie Gonzalez (Gentefied) as his wife, Judy, Emilio Rivera (Son of Anarchy, High Crimes, Venom) as Richard’s father Nacho, Dennis Haysbert (Far from Heaven, 24) as Richard’s mentor, Clarence, and 4x Emmy® Award winner Tony Shalhoub (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Monk) as PepsiCo CEO Roger Enrico.

The Argyle Theatre's production of West Side Story, directed by Evan Pappas and Todd Underwood, choreographed by Todd Underwood, with musical direction by Christopher D. Littlefield opened last night, Saturday, February 11, 2023, and BroadwayWorld was there for the festivities. The production runs through April 2nd. Check out photos from the evening here!

Florida Studio Theatre (FST) has announced the lineup for the 2022-2023 Forums Series, featuring three panel discussions inspired by the themes explored in the theatre’s productions of What the Constitution Means to Me, Network, and Visit Joe Whitefeather.

Fittingly for a band that played the last show at Rippers before last year's pandemic-related shutdown (at which this album was recorded), Wild Yaks are proud to be the first band back at the venue in 2021, setting a performance there for July 17.

Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre, professional Theatre in Residence at the Oakes Center in Summit, is offering a virtual improv class this spring for adults and teens aged 18 and up. The class will be held Monday  evenings from 7:30-9:30 for eight weeks starting April 5 and ending May 24. The cost is $280.
