FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents The On Broadway Dream Connector Showcase. Broadway's Rema Webb (upcoming production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Unmasked, Disney's Hercules, Escape to Margaritaville, The Lion King, The Book of Mormon, Violet, The Color Purple) has long believed in the power of dreams. She's chased them, caught them, and made them real - challenges and fears be darned. For some time now, she's also been committed to helping young aspiring performers realize the power of their own dreams through her non profit organization.

They played to sold out crowds during their two week run last year, and this year, Jersey Boys is 'making its way back' to Ogunquit Playhouse for their second engagement, now through June 15. What did the critics think? Read all the reviews!
After a successful run of Jersey Boys during the 2018 season, Executive Artistic Director, Bradford T. Kenney, kicked of the opening night of the 87th season at the Ogunquit Playhouse announcing, 'Jersey Boys 2.0.' You might say that success builds success. If a show can run to sold out audiences for eight weeks in 2018, might it be worth running the show again the following year?
The Ogunquit Playhouse 2019 season kicks off with Jersey Boys! The multi-Tony Award-winning, international sensation that performed to sold-out houses during its run in 2018, is back by popular demand May 15 through June 15. The cast that BroadwayWorld exclaimed to be "the closest you'll ever get to having seen Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons," also returns to the Ogunquit stage - Jonathan Mousset (Frankie Valli), Matt Magnusson (Tommy DeVito), Andy Christopher (Bob Gaudio), and Matthew Amira (Nick Massi).
The legendary Ogunquit Playhouse is thrilled to announce a sensational lineup of shows for audiences in 2019. For the first time in over a decade the Playhouse will stage a non-musical play in addition to five musicals, including the return of the multi-Tony Award-winning, international sensation Jersey Boys; the quintessential tap dancing extravaganza 42nd Street; and the iconic and powerful jazz musical Cabaret. The play that will ignite the stage with murder and mystery is the beloved Agatha Christie's Murder on the Orient Express. Closing out the season is a hilarious musical comedy that will be announced soon and a Tony Award-winning, smash hit musical which will be announced in May.
Maine seems to be enjoying a theatrical renaissance with large and small companies vigorously engaged in producing a wide range of repertoire throughout the state. Several of the leading professional theatres have become destinations in and of themselves - (witness the inclusion of Maine State Music Theatre and Ogunquit Playhouse in Scott Andrews' upcoming book, Vacationland) - while venerable community groups continue to raise the bar for their work. I am privileged to get to sample these performances as Broadway World's Maine editor and to be able to compare many of them favorably with shows I see across the country, in New York and London. These are my personal choices of the best in Maine for 2018, grouped by theatre company and show.
MAINE STATE MUSIC THEATRE delivered a 60th anniversary season that redefined the meaning and substance of 'gala.'
The multi-Tony Award-winning, international sensation that took Broadway and the world by storm, makes its Northeast premiere at the Ogunquit Playhouse, on stage through October 28. Get a first look at the cast in action below!

THE GREEN ROOM 42 - Broadway's newest intimate concert venue - has announced the New York debut of THE BONES, a new band featuring Alison Luff and Matt Magnusson, on Thursday, July 12 at 7:00 PM. Their concert will trace how Alison - currently starring on Broadway in Escape to Margaritaville - and Matt - recently seen as Kenickie in the Toronto revival of Grease - met, fell in love, formed a indie pop band, and eloped in the fall of 2015. The Bones is a blend of their individual styles of music and is best described as a synergistic expression of their love for one another. After only knowing each other three weeks they recorded their first demos at The Village Recorder in Los Angeles. This summer they are in the process of recording their debut full-length album.
Produced in association with Peter Dunn (So You Think You Can Belt and GAYS: The Series), songwriters Selda Sahin and Derek Gregor will make their Cutting Room debut on Monday, April 30th (9:30pm) with their show, Tricoastal: the songs of Selda and Derek
