What did our critic think of THE PRODUCERS at BrightSide Theatre?

BrightSide Theatre announced the cast and production team for THE PRODUCERS, the 12-time Tony Award-winning Mel Brooks musical, closing the company's 14th season in Naperville.

Mary, Queen of Scots, is a remarkable piece of work, offering pointed comment on the place of women in the sixteenth-century court and on the mythology that casts Mary as a martyr. With striking visuals and compositions, it is an original and modern take on a familiar part of history.

It’s just a jump to the left… famous words that the audience is waiting for.  The first show at BrightSide Theatre for its 14th season dedicated to For the Fun of It is Richard O’Brien’s campy, cult classic The Rocky Horror Show.

I will be the first to admit that I am NOT a big fan of this show, so BOO! HISS! if you like...BUT I will admit this cast has SO much fun and energy and talent. I won't argue with a cheering SOLD OUT Show.
