Classic Stage Company today announces the events comprising its 2019-20 season of Classic Conversations, evenings of conversation and performance featuring CSC's Tony Award-winning Artistic Director, John Doyle, with some of today's foremost musical-theater artists.

Classic Stage Company kicks off its 2019-20 season on Thursday, October 10, when previews begin for artistic director John Doyle's new staging of William Shakespeare's Macbeth, opening October 27 and running through December 15 at the Lynn F. Angelson Theater at CSC (136 E. 13th St, New York). Today CSC announces that Timothy Douglas will direct Tristan Bernays' retelling of Frankenstein (beginning January 30), which the company will pair with Kate Hamill's reimagining of Dracula (starting January 14), directed by Sarna Lapine, to form a thrilling repertory cycle of adaptations of two legendary Gothic nightmares by emerging playwrights.

Just last night, Broadway celebrated a new arrival. Written by Tony Award nominee Florian Zeller (The Father), translated by two-time Tony Award Winner Christopher Hampton (Les Liaisons Dangereuses) and directed by Tony and Drama Desk Award nominee Jonathan Kent (Long Day's Journey into Night), The Height of the Storm opened at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street).

Classic Stage Company announces the full cast of the company's upcoming staging of William Shakespeare's Macbeth, directed by John Doyle.

Maureen Towey wrote and directed In The 8th Year of the Emergency, a short film that stars Broadway stars including Phillipa Soo (Hamilton), Mary Beth Peil (The King & I, Anastasia), Linda Emond (Cabaret, Death of a Salesman, Life x 3), Jeffrey DeMunn (K2), and Emmy nominee Marsha Stephanie Blake (When They See Us).

When he passed on at age 60 in 1933, Addison Mizner was best known as the architect whose Spanish Colonial and Mediterranean style helped define the emerging visual culture of South Florida. When his younger brother Wilson Mizner died two months later, he was best known as a raconteur whose name could occasionally be found among the writing credits of a Broadway play or Hollywood feature.

Directed and choreographed by Will Davis, with music direction by James Moore, Road Show tells the somewhat true story of the Mizner brothers who inherit a small fortune at the turn of the 20th Century and set out to grab their piece of the American Dream in a country where anything seems possible. The production will star Chuck Cooper (Papa Mizner), Raúl Esparza (Wilson Mizner), Jin Ha (Hollis Bessemer), Mary Beth Peil (Mama Mizner), and Brandon Uranowitz (Addison Mizner).

Encores! Off-Center today announced casting for Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman's Road Show, the final production of the 2019 Encores! Off-Center series and conclusion of the City Center 75th Anniversary Season.

Mark William returned, by popular demand, with yet another encore performance of his critically acclaimed, sold-out solo nightclub debut 'Come Croon With Me' on Friday June 7th at The Green Room 42.
