Webb’s historical drama is spectacularly brought to life by Ron Himes’ direction. The Black Rep's production of HOLD ON is spellbinding storytelling. It is a first-rate production of the momentous events that shaped the civil rights movement and resulted in important legislation. Himes, his cast, and crew have produced an exceptional piece of theatre that honors the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King.

Broadway performer LARRY MARSHALL, joined by musicians, will perform 'The Black King of Vaudeville,' Marshall's tribute to vaudeville great Bert Williams (1874-1922), Monday January 15 at St. Mark's Church, Second Avenue & 10th Street. 

Performing at the first ARTS LEGACY REMIX PROJECT: Let Freedom Ring in 2024 are the choir Voices of Unity, singers from Walton Academy, spoken word artist 13th Disciple, Star Divas Step Team, and musicians Juice.

It has become a tradition for West Windsor Arts to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by hosting a Day of Service and presenting other programming during the month of January.

Queens College will commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Sunday, January 14. The college’s annual celebration of the life and legacy of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., featuring guest speakers, musical performances, and the premiere of the latest episode in the college’s docuseries on Dr. King’s connection to the college.

The 36th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Awards Program will be held Thursday, Jan. 11, at 6 p.m. at the Casino Live Hotel Ballroom in Hanover, Md. Dignitaries attending will include Maryland Governor Wes Moore, U.S. Senator Chris Van Hollen, Congressman John Sarbanes, County Executive Steuart Pittman, and Annapolis Mayor Gavin Buckley. The keynote speaker will be Congressman Jonathan Jackson, the youngest son of Rev. Jesse Jackson and godson to Dr. King. Governor Moore will also provide comments at the event.
