Ravinia Commissions Bill T. Jones to Create Lincoln-Tribute

Ravinia Festival has commissioned award-winning choreographer Bill T. Jones, who most recently won a Tony for his choreography for Spring Awakening, to create a new full-evening work, tentatively titled A Good Man, inspired by Abraham Lincoln and celebrating the slain president's 2009 bicentennial.

For its 25th Anniversary Season, Performance Space 122 has re-vamped its longstanding series New Stuff to create a brand new residency program for emerging artists working in the fields dance, theater and multi-disciplinary performance. The New York Festival of Song (NYFOS) will continue its season with a program titled At Harlem's Height on Wednesday, February 23 at 8:00pm as part of Lincoln Center's American Songbook in the Rose Theatre at Jazz at Lincoln Center. The featured soloists will be soprano Dana Hanchard, tenor Darius de Haas, and baritone James Martin, with Steven Blier at the piano.
