Long Wharf Theatre, under the leadership of Artistic Director Jacob G. Padron and Managing Director Joshua Borenstein, presents A Doll's House, Part 2, by Lucas Hnath and directed by Will Davis, from May 1 through 26, 2019.

NYLON, a new play by Sofia Alvarez (Netflix's To All The Boys I've Loved Before) opens tonight, Saturday March 9th, at Theaterlab (357 West 36th Street) in New York City. The next Madness of the season will take place during the Estrogenius Festival at The Kraine and will feature a line-up of female-identifying Latinx playwrights. It will take place on Sunday, March 31st at 8pm at The Kraine Theater (85 East 4th Street between 2nd Avenue and Bowery).

Blockchain Theater Project (BTP), founded by Sofia Alvarez and Nicola Korzenko, is a new theater company that empowers artists to produce the work they create, funded in part by cryptocurrency donations. Like Bitcoin and other blockchains, BTP eliminates the institutional gatekeeper, creating a peer-to-peer model of support where the next play to be produced will be nominated by the playwright of the current production. Alvarez's NYLON will start this chain.

Eric Krebs will present God Shows Up, a new comedy-drama by noted theatre journalist and playwright Peter Filichia.

PLANET CONNECTIONS' PLAYWRIGHTS FOR A CAUSE: This year, this event, designed to address a powerful social and topical issue facing our society today through engaging stage works, will explore the distinctions between gender and sexuality. The event will benefit THE ALI FORNEY CENTER.

LAByrinth Theater Company (Artistic Director John Ortiz) recently announced that they will present the World Premiere of Devil of Choice by LAB Member Maggie Bofill (Winners, Drawn and Quartered). They are thrilled for performances to begin Wednesday, May 23, and will run through Saturday, June 9, 2018, at The Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street, New York, NY 10014). All performances will be held at the 14th Street Y in New York City.

The Arctic Group has commissioned playwright Daniel Talbott (Slipping and Afghanistan, Zimbabwe, America, Kuwait) to write a new short play that will be performed on a double bill with Steve McMahon's Sad Indie Love Song in Series B of their inaugural FRIDGE Festival. The festival runs August 31 - September 10, and Series B will play Thu 8/31 at 9pm, Sun 9/3 at 7pm, Wed 9/6 9pm, and Sat 9/9 at 7pm.
