Ensemble Studio Theatre kicks off the New Year with the world premiere of Maggie Bofill's Winners, a wild roller coaster ride for a modern family reeling from the Great Recession, presented in partnership with The Radio Drama Network. Winners begins previews Wednesday, January 14, at 7:00pm at Ensemble Studio Theatre, 549 West 52nd Street, for an opening Thursday, January 22, at 7:00pm. Winners is directed by Pamela Berlin and features Curran Connor, David Gelles, Arielle Goldman, Stephanie Hsu, Polly Lee, Florencia Lozano, Scott Sowers and Grant Shaud.

This bilingual world premiere of Julia Alavarez's 1994 New York Times best-selling historical fiction is written by Caridad Svich, author of Mixed Blood's 2010 play based on Isabel Allende's The House of the Spirits.

Lucy Loves Me will begin performances Off-Broadway Friday February 22nd continuing through March 24th. Pinkolandia begins performances Friday, May 3rd and will continue through May 26th. Both Lucy Loves Me and Pinkoldandia are products of INTAR's legendary Maria Irene Fornés Hispanic Playwrights-in-Residence Laboratory (MIF HPRL).

The Forest Play, an epic, arboreal adventure for children and adults, written by Lola Glaudini and Kostas Anagnopoulos, will be performed at the Bank Street Theater today, December 15th at 1pm.

This production of The Guys will star current FDNY member Evan Davis, who was awarded the David J. DeFranco Medal in 2012 for a water-related rescue, and Kristen Schwarz, who is the Drama Director at Stephen A. Halsey JHS 157 in Queens.

Creation Production Company will present Instinct, a new drama by two-time Obie Award-winner Matthew Maguire. Instinct will play its first performance on Friday, January 13, 2012 at Theatre Row's Lion Theatre (410 West 42nd Street), and will officially open on Wednesday, January 18.
