Vineyard Theatre Resumes Performances Of LESSONS IN SURVIVAL: 1971 With Reggie D. White

Vineyard Theatre has announced that Lessons in Survival: 1971 will resume performances on Wednesday, June 15 with Reggie D. White temporarily stepping into the role of James Baldwin. White is a co-conceiver of the show as one of the members of The Commissary and the Vineyard Theatre's 2022-2023 Colman Domingo Award recipient. 

GableStage at The Biltmore Announces 2022-23 Season

GableStage, the Coral Gables based theatre company that has made its home in the Biltmore Hotel for over 24 years, announced its 2022-23 season. Five new productions, which illuminate the company’s mission of “confronting today’s issues and ideas” will account for 130 performances from October - July. Vineyard Theatre Cancels Weekend Performances of LESSONS IN SURVIVAL: 1971

Due to positive COVID test results within the company, Vineyard Theatre has cancelled performances of Lessons in Survival: 1971 through Sunday, June 12. Ticket holders for impacted performances (June 10-12) will be contacted by phone and email regarding rebooking and next steps.

South Carolina New Play Festival Announces 2022 Titles

The South Carolina New Play Festival announced the shows for the city-wide performing arts festival in Greenville, South Carolina, August 12-14. The festival will feature readings of Kate Hamill's The Scarlet Letter, directed by Shelley Butler, Kareem Fahmy's Dodi and Diana, directed by Adrienne Campell-Holt, Adam Ben-David, Christyn Budzyna, and Jessica Penzias' musical From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler, directed by West Hyler, and Samantha Miller's Dragonsoul Offline. The festival will end with a cabaret from Jarrod Spector and Kelli Barrett.

Hampton Theatre Company Presents A DOLL'S HOUSE, PART 2 This Month

“A Doll's House, Part 2,” Lucas Hnath's “smart, funny and utterly engrossing” (New York Times) play revisiting the central characters of Henrik Ibsen's 1879 original, will be the final production of the Hampton Theatre Company's 2021-2022 season, opening on May 26 at the Quogue Community Hall and running through June 12.

Vineyard Theatre has announced casting and design team for the upcoming World Premiere of Lessons in Survival: 1971 at Vineyard Theatre (108 East 15th Street) now on-sale. Lessons In Survival: 1971 will begin previews at Vineyard Theatre (108 East 15th Street) May 26, 2022 and play through June 30 with an opening night set for June 9.
