The Duluth Playhouse has announced their new roster of incredible entertainment for the 2022-23 season. After grappling with disruptions brought on by the coronavirus pandemic, The Playhouse is offering top notch shows presented in the HART District.

Donmar Warehouse Artistic Director Michael Longhurst and Executive Director Henny Finch today announce the full cast for the UK première of Lucas Hnath's A Doll's House, Part 2. Joining Noma Dumezweni as Nora are Patricia Allison (Emmy), Brían F. O'Byrne (Torvald), and June Watson (Anne Marie). James Macdonald's production, in a reconfigured Donmar in the round, opens on 16 June, with previews from 10 June, and runs until 6 August.

The Novato Theater Company announces A Doll's House, Part 2 by Lucas Hnath as the last play of their 2021 - 22 season. It previews on Thursday, May 19 (7:30pm), and runs Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 2pm until June 12, 2022. To serve their deaf patrons, Novato Theater Company is offering one performance with sign language interpreters on Sunday, June 5.

The Theatre Company has announced the live Oregon premiere of The Thin Place by award-winning playwright Lucas Hnath, May 15-20, 2022. Lucas Hnath fans, rejoice! International City Theatre presents A Doll’s House, Part 2, the Obie-Award winning playwright’s bitingly funny, thoroughly modern, 90-minute “sequel” to Henrik Ibsen’s 1879 classic. Trevor Biship-Gillespie directs this stand-alone continuation (no need to know the original) for an April 15 opening at ICT’s home in the Long Beach Performing Arts Center, where performances continue through May 1. Two low-priced previews are set for April 13 and April 14.

Lucas Hnath is an ambitious playwright. He turned his mother's harrowing recollections of being abducted in the '90s into a riveting, intimate one-woman tale, Dana H, where the actress lip-syncs to the recording that his mother had made. Despite such legends as Harold Prince, Betty Comden and Adolph Green flopping with a sequel to Ibsen's A Doll's House, he soldiered on with A Doll's House, Part 2, creating a funny and absorbing examination of 19th Century gender wars. Now, he examines the life of Walt Disney in A Public Reading of an Unproduced Screenplay About the Death of Walt Disney. And though Hnath appears to have a focused vision, this time his deliberate touch distances the character from the audience and leaves this reviewer nonplussed.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced the critically acclaimed play Dana H. written by Lucas Hnath and directed by Les Waters will run Friday, June 3–Sunday, July 10, 2022.
