Eclectic Full Contact Theatre has announced their first annual Crashbox Festival of Short Live Audio Plays, running November 16-19 at the Edge Off Broadway Theatre.

City Lit will return from the holidays with THE BIRTHDAY PARTY, Harold Pinter’s first produced full-length play. Artistic Director Terry McCabe, who will direct this dark comedy, has announced the cast and creative team.

City Lit Theater’s 42nd season will begin in October with the world premiere of THE MARK OF KANE, by Chicago playwright/actor Mark Pracht, directed by City Lit Artistic Director Terry McCabe. THE MARK OF KANE will begin performances on October 21 and will play through December 4, 2022.

The Factory Theater has announced its 28th anniversary season of world premieres including Angelina Martinez’s HOA, September 9 – October 22, Shannon O’Neill’s The Kelly Girls, February 17 – April 1, 2023 and Len Foote and Scott OKen’s Lane Call, June 9 – July 22, 2023 and the late night variety show series Factory After Dark.

Resident Director Brian Pastor has announced the cast for THE PLAYBOY OF THE WESTERN WORLD – a classic comedy that has spurred a film, musical, and even an operatic adaptation.

PlayMakers Laboratory will welcome back live audiences this winter with That's Weird, Grandma: Comes Home for the Holidays, directed by Artistic Director Brandon Cloyd, playing December 10 – 19, 2021 at the Neo-Futurist Theater, 5153 N. Ashland Ave. in Chicago.

PlayMakers Laboratory will celebrate the 20th anniversary of its popular sketch comedy revue That's Weird, Grandma with a free digital special on Thursday, August 5 from 5:30 – 7:30 pm. Barrel of Monkeys concludes its 2018-19 season with THAT'S WEIRD GRANDMA: Fantastic Beasts and the Stories About Them

The Factory Theater is proud to announce five new members of its artistic ensemble: Brittney Brown, Jose M. Cervantes, Ashley Yates, Michael Jones and Jennifer Betancourt.  Factory's ensemble members write all of the Factory's original plays and have full voting rights in the company, including season selection, leadership election and accepting new ensemble members. They are also forced to do arduous chores like helping with strike and manning the box office.
