Known for his deeply personal lyricism, introspective emotional honesty, and his uniquely raw, cavernous vocal sound, Vincent Lima delivers his own brand of indie-folk once again on ‘Somewhere.’ 

Teyana Taylor Announces The Last Rose Petal 2… Farewell Tour

Produced by Live Nation and Femme It Forward, the 18-city tour kicks off on Wednesday, August 3rd at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, CA, making stops across the US in Las Vegas, Atlanta, Miami and more before performing in Europe and wrapping up on Thursday, September 8th in Paris, France at the Bataclan.

Minneapolis-based trans artist, producer, singer, and rapper ZORA (she/her) announces her remarkable, entirely self-produced debut album, Z1, today. American Composers Orchestra continues its 2021-2022 season, under the leadership of Artistic Director Derek Bermel and President Melissa Ngan, with The Gathering: A Collective Sonic Ring Shout co-presented by ACO and the Apollo Theater and co-curated with National Black Theatre in partnership with Gateways Music Festival and Harlem Chamber Players, on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 8pm at the Apollo.

New Black Fest at the Apollo to Launch This Week

 This month marks the launch of New Black Fest at the Apollo, a festival celebrating contemporary Black playwrights from across the nation. On April 22, 23, and 25 at 7pm, audiences will have the opportunity to see original works by 18 playwrights, each commissioned by the Apollo and New Black Fest co-founder Keith Josef Adkins.

Why Is We Americans? is set to be released on DVD and for digital purchase on April 12th for $24.95. The movie is executive produced by Ms. Lauryn Hill and Oscar®-nominated writer and filmmaker, Oren Moverman (The Messenger). This 2022 theatrical release arrives on DVD loaded with extras, including Q&A’s, deleted scenes, and more. The movie originally opened on January 14th at the IFC Center in NYC.
