The winner of America’s longest running talent show, Amateur Night at The Apollo will be crowned. From a global pool of vocalists, rappers, dancers, instrumentalists, comedians, spoken-word artists, and other performers, one talented entertainer will be taking home the highly coveted Amateur Night Grand Prize.

Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. (MSG Entertainment) and Live Nation announced that Grammy Award winning rap legend, Nas, will perform at Madison Square Garden on Friday, February 24, 2023 at 8:00PM – marking the icon’s first headline show at The World’s Most Famous Arena.

Stars’ Stories Week” kicks off its two-night event with “Most Memorable Year.” The 12 remaining couples will perform routines that best represent the most impactful years of their lives. The two-night event continues with “Prom Night” featuring the 11 remaining couples performing dances to hits that bring them back to their high school proms.

The Den Theatre will present comedian Mo Amer, playing four stand-up performances December 2 & 3, 2022 on The Heath Mainstage.

The Apollo kicks off Apollo Comedy Club and Apollo Music Café shows, starting Thursday, October 6. Performances will take place on Apollo’s Soundstage on October 6, 7, and 8. Doors open at 9PM EST. Shows begin at 10PM EST. Tickets start at $26.50.

The single, like the rest of the EP, was written and produced by Brooks. It follows “Sound The Alarm,” which features Patrick Stump and was the first bit of music Brooks revealed off of The 40HZ, and his first for Dine Alone. In addition to Stump and Moore the EP will also feature guest appearances by Jason Aalon Butler, and Paul Leary.

Little Island, New York City’s new public park in Hudson River Park by W. 13th Street, will begin performances for the 2022 Storytelling Festival tomorrow, Wednesday, July 21. The multidisciplinary festival is curated by Little Island Artists-in-Residence PigPen Theatre Co. and will run through Sunday, September 18.

The Apollo Theater has announced details of its fall/winter 2022 season titled The Next Movement. The Apollo has long been a place of dynamic energy and forward motion; this season, the theater honors that longstanding tradition through a series of performances and programs that look to the future.

On Saturday, September 24, the Apollo will hold in-person auditions for its signature program, Amateur Night at the Apollo, the quintessential talent competition and one of the longest-running events in the world. 

Kaleta & Super Yamba Band will take their lauded live show back on the road this summer and fall. The shows kick off in Colorado Springs, CO tonight, August 9 and include debut festival appearances at Brooklyn’s Afropunk, Chicago’s World Music Festival and Louisville’s The Big Stomp as well as a performance at The Kennedy Center in Washington, DC.

Rising singer-songwriter Danielle Ponder is set to release her debut album “Some Of Us Are Brave.” The title track is out now, with an accompanying video, a work dedicated to Black women filmed in the artist’s hometown of Rochester, New York. “Some Of Us Are Brave” is the third song unveiled from Ponder’s forthcoming LP.
