This year's UEA Drama season, running from 3 - 8 December, features two plays by Timberlake Wertenbaker, one of the UK's most renowned contemporary female playwrights and currently the Chair in Playwrighting at the University Of East Anglia.
In an increasingly divisive political time when fears over borders, ecological collapse, and censorship are commonplace, UEA Theatre Productions are staging The Break of Day, and The Love of the Nightingale, twoplays with strong themes of feminism, displacement and reclaiming the future.

We are all aware of those great music scores created by gifted composers for the movies but last night at Dizzy's Club, Christine Tamburr, a gifted composer and virtuoso vibraphonist led a world class group of musicians and jazz great Clint Holmes in a performance of his score “The Awakening “ Sounds For Sculpture”. Just as you can't imagine a movie without the underlying music, something tells me I won't be able to enjoy a “silent” Sculpture anymore after the experience of listening to Christian Tambour's breathtaking music inspired by the Sculpture of world renowned Seward Johnson.

Moral Fixation is a dark comedy that tracks Caleb and Claire as they learn what it means to be sober, grown up people in a time when morals and ideals seem to be culturally taboo. When Claire discovers that Caleb dallied with sex workers in the past, she becomes fixated on the symbolism of his actions and struggles with whether or not they define his character.

Clint Holmes, was introduced by Broadway at Birdland host Jim Caruso last night as one of the best vocalists in the world and Clint's performance on the stage of Birdland, before a star studded audience of music lovers demonstrated how true that intro was.

Bay Street Theater and Sag Harbor Center for the Arts is pleased to announce that Confessions of a Mormon Boy, a special Mainstage Season bonus production, is now in rehearsal. Confessions of a Mormon Boy is written and performed by Outer Critics Circle Award Nominee Steven Fales and directed by Bay Street Theater's Artistic Director, Scott Schwartz. The one-man play will have five showings only from July 17 - July 22 and is Part 1 in Fales' new Mormon Boy Trilogy. Performances will be held on Tuesday, July 17 at 7 pm; Thursday, July 19 at 5 pm for a special Twilight Performance; Friday, July 20 at 8 pm; Saturday, July 21 at 5 pm for a second Twilight Performance; and Sunday, July 22 at 2 pm. Matthew Rauch and Zina Wilde to Star in Laurence Shanet's CHASE THE ACE

Matthew Rauch (CBS's Blue Bloods) and Zina Wilde (HBO's Billions, ABC's Madoff) have joined the cast of Laurence Shanet'sfeature CHASE THE ACE, it was today announced by the film's producers Nicholas Avenue and Ratul Sharma of Fight or Flight Pictures. The action film is currently in production, shooting in New York, and will be completed this summer. Avenue and Sharma wrote the film and star in it as well. Rounding out the cast is Erin Kommor (NBC's Rise).
