As BroadwayWorld previously reported, the queen bee herself is taking her final bow as Regina George in the Broadway production of Mean Girls this Sunday, September 8th. Three all-star lineups are set for the next concerts in the new Broadway Sings spinoff series, Broadway Sings: Unplugged. On September 30, October 21, and November 18, The Green Room 42 will present three different casts for Sara Bareilles: Unplugged each month, featuring original a?oeunpluggeda?? arrangements of the singer-songwriter's hits, orchestrated for an acoustic band. Each night will offer two identical shows: 7pm and 9:30pm.

In 2017, the Some Like it Pop podcast produced a stand-alone series about the development of a new musical based on the H.G. Wells classic 'The Invisible Man.' That show, INVISIBLE: THE MUSICAL by David Hollingsworth (book) and David Orris (score) has continued to work its way through the developmental pipeline, and on Monday, Sept. 2 at 9:45 p.m. ET will have its New York debut in a concert presentation at 54 Below. To celebrate INVISIBLE's New York premiere, Some Like it Pop's Jennifer McHugh, with help from colleague Matt Tamanini, got the group back together and interviewed the show's creators, stars, and directors to see how things have changed and grown over the past two years, and what's next for the musical.

Broadway Workshop, the country's top training program for young performers,  ​​​​​​​celebrated Summer 2019 by welcoming Broadway's biggest stars to lead musical theater and acting intensives in New York City. 

The Broadway Loves series returned to Feinstein's/54 Below on July 22nd when over a dozen of Broadway's most distinctive voices celebrated the multi-platinum career of millennial icon Selena Gomez, on the evening of her 27th birthday! We've just learned that an NYC reading is taking place this week, led by Emily Skinner as Miranda Priestly, Krystina Alabado as Andy Sachs, Helene Yorke as Emily, Mario Cantone as Nigel, Etai Benson as Nate, Jo Lampert as Lily and Nicholas Christopher as Christian. Well's sci-fi classic The Invisible Man, as set through the lens of an 80's teen comedy (with an 80's-inspired original score, to match), INVISIBLE is the story of Griff and Kemper, two hopeless nerds, whose plans to woo the popular girls through science go awry when Griff accidentally turns himself invisible. With prom swiftly approaching, Griff, Kemper, and their goth friend Hemlock (who may or may not have a crush on Griff) must find a way to make him visible again, all while avoiding snobby cliques, busybody teachers, and the school's resident rich kid jock, Chetwick.

Taylor Louderman recently performed a medley of songs from her career, arranged by music director Benjamin Rauhala (at the piano) entitled 'The #SlayLizLou Medley,' based on Rauhala's nickname for Louderman.

Tina Fey stopped by TODAY Tuesday morning to celebrate fifteen years of her film Mean Girls. Fey also talks about what it was like to turn Mean GIrls into a musical in honor of it being on Broadway for a year. 

Renee Rapp, winner of the Best Actress Award at the 2018 National High School Musical Theatre Awards (commonly known as the 'Jimmy Awards'), will make her Broadway debut as 'Regina George' in Mean Girls!

Taylor Louderman has announced on Instagram that she will depart Mean Girls on September 8, 2019.
