Theatre 40 will present a staged reading of Frank Semerano's mystery/comedy The Ten Tombs of Dr. Styles, directed by Christopher Franciosa, on Monday, March 23, 2026 at 7 p.m.

Dracula, My Love, written and directed by Syrie James, adapted from her novel Dracula, My Love: The Secret Journals of Mina Harker is coming to Theatre 40.

Director MacQueen keeps the action moving along at a steady pace, a much-needed component of a 2.5 hour play offering so much information to absorb about the history of women's suffrage. Highly recommended.

Theatre 40 in Beverly Hills will present the world premiere of All These Women, a new historical drama written and directed by longtime company artist Melanie MacQueen. Performances will run from September 18 to October 19, 2025, at Theatre 40’s home in the Mary Levin Cutler Theatre on the campus of Beverly Hills High School.

Becky's New Car, a comedy by Steven Dietz, will be presented at Theatre Forty in a production directed by Cape Caplin. The play runs May 15- June 15, 2025.

Musical theatre company Cabaret23 will bring CABARET23 SINGS THE CLASSICS to Theatre 40, by Katyana Rocker-Cook and David Hunt Stafford, on Saturday March 15, 2025 at 7:30pm.

On October 19, Theatre 40 in Beverly Hills is presenting a reading of All These Women, written and directed by Melanie MacQueen. Centering on the newly elected president Woodrow Wilson, the story delves into how the Women’s Suffrage Parade pushed him to finally agree to Voting Rights for All. I decided to speak with Melanie about how the play came into being, her plans to present it as a reading, and how she plans to keep presenting it in the future.

Next up for Theatre 40, Agatha Christies’ Toward Zero opens September 21, 2023. Craig Hissong directs this classic whodunnit with the cast of includes John Combs, Katyana Rocker Cook, Christopher Franciosa, Hisato Matsuyama, Michael Mullen, Kristin Towers Rowles, Jeremy Schaye, Michele Schultz, Holly Sidell and David Hunt Stafford. A master of many theatrical positions, Craig carved out some time to give me some clues to the behind the scenes of Towards Zero.

MACHA Theatre/Films will present the critically acclaimed play Garbo's Cuban Lover. First produced in 2001, the new mounting will be a 'reimagined production' of the show, with more music, dance and multimedia.
