A star-studded line-up of Australian music sensations will take to the stage throughout the 2020 Melbourne Cup Carnival with the Victoria Racing Club (VRC) today announcing an impressive list of chart-toppers who will be beamed into living rooms via Network 10's broadcast, with extended performances available via 10Play and the VRC's new immersive Cup Week website.

The Players' Ring will infuse the fall with a much-needed burst of laughter with The Savannah Sipping Society by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, Jamie Wooten – all former writers for the TV classic “The Golden Girls” – from October 23 to November 1 with both live and online performances.

Global Creatures will be holding a 12-day developmental lab of Muriel's Wedding in February, 2020 in New York City. The developmental lab will culminate in a private reading.

Kate Miller-Heidke is a renowned singer/songwriter who sang an impressive repertoire of songs featuring different operatic runs and tricks. Her impressive vocal range and control was evident from the first song, hitting notes with such ease that she left the audience with their jaws dropped. Highlights from her set included 'You've Underestimated Me Dude', 'Caught In the Crowd' and her haunting rendition of 'Sarah' which still gives me goosebumps whenever I listen to it. Her husband and co-singer/songwriter Keir Nuttall's improvised guitar solos were something I found myself craving more of and her back-up singer Jessica Hitchock literally had the voice of an angel. Overall, the set had the perfect combination of songs new and old, flavours and textures. Well done Kate and team.

San Francisco Playhouse presents the Bay Area premiere of Tiny Beautiful Things by Academy Award and Golden Globe-nominated writer and actress Nia Vardalos, based on the book by best-selling author Cheryl Strayed (Wild). Bill English will direct the Playhouse production.

Australian singer-songwriter Kate Miller-Heidke will also make a special appearance at both concerts.

Actress Kate Miller has recently been cast in Aaron Sorkin's upcoming film THE TRIAL OF THE CHICAGO 7 and will be recurring in Jerry Bruckheimer's new crime drama series HIGHTOWN for STARZ network. Kate also plays Vivian Abetemarco on Blue Bloods for CBS & can be seen in the critically acclaimed HULU series RAMY.
