North Shore Music Theatre will open its 2026 musical season with On Your Feet!, the story of Emilio and Gloria Estefan, directed and choreographed by Marcos Santana with a 23-member cast.

A new musical exploring Rita Hayworth's battle with Alzheimer's and Hollywood's erasure of her Spanish heritage is in development with New York Theatre Barn, written by Bettina Covo and Jonathan Larson Award-winner Cheryl Stern.

It’s been 30 years since Jonathan Larson’s rock opera Rent opened at the Nederlander Theatre on April 29, 1996, and arguably changed the theatrical landscape of Broadway.

In Washington Heights, Usnavi (Ángel Lozada) sings to us about life in the neighborhood while carrying out his day-to-day activities involved in operating his bodega (“In the Heights”). There’s Sonny (Nicolas Garza), the young aspiring entrepreneur who helps Usnavi run things; Abuela Claudia (Rayanne Gonzales), Usnavi’s elderly neighbor who’s “not really [his] abuela;” and Vanessa (Adriana Scalice), a woman Usnavi is too shy to talk to, but who is trying to move out of Washington Heights as soon as possible.

Arizona Theatre Company's SCROOGE!, directed by Matt August, offers moments of holiday cheer and showcases talented performances, making it an enjoyable seasonal outing.

Walton Arts Center, 495 W Dickson St, in Fayetteville, brought the excitement again, this time with BEETLEJUICE THE MUSICAL, which ran from October 22-27. I would say his name three times just to see the show again! Directed by Alex Timbers, the thrilling blend of dark humor, incredible music and spooky charm had us smiling through the whole production! We loved it!

The Muny debut of IN THE HEIGHTS is a fantastic production of Lin Manuel-Miranda's Tony award winning musical. Angulo has directed a production that captures the emotional heart of Miranda’s story. He makes an enormous splash with the big musical numbers. The choreography is exciting, and the dancing is and joyous.
